Stop raising your children to be disrespectful towards adults, because the day is going to come when they get into real trouble, and they are not going to be able to handle it.

Sometimes I even amaze myself. If I just stop and think quietly about the solution to a problem that I am having, I will eventually figure it out, and that is exactly what I did today—not once but twice. So, I am pretty proud of myself, to be honest.

I prayed, and I just want to thank God and my Pop-Pop for always being there for me—I love you!

Right now, I am feeling really tired due to a lack of sleep because of nightmares.

God is teaching me to be more kind to myself and to embrace, or even celebrate, the fact that I truly am a survivor instead of being so hard on myself all of the time.

I am a mess, but that was a great season finale!

For me personally, writing poetry and anything related to music has provided me with a lot of strength moving forward after my sexual abuse. I also enjoy giving to others, especially those in need; it gives me a sense of relief. In addition to that, I like to play basketball and swim.
