Should I Find a Part Time Church?

I think I would go to the ELCA service AND the morning prayer of your Episcopal parish, if it's possible regarding time. I see your problem. Also for me the weekly Eucharist has become very important; but it looks as if it will be the same in my (Roman Catholic) parish soon. I only have the...

    New Chat - User Titles

Okay, but you must have a list of titles programmed into your forum website. Doesn't the forum need to know from which to which amounts of posts, he has to write what? (If that is proper English. ;)) - Example: 100 - 700 posts write user title Well Known User. Maybe the Tech-Admin knows?

    Looking for a new Denomination

    - The Roman Catholic Church DOES uphold the Bible. - At least since Vatican II. - There are more and more bible groups arising and also the priests are preaching the bible in their homilies more and more often. Furthermore the whole mass consists more or less of bible quotes. (It also took me...

    What are gypsies?

You wrote that the Gypsy Sisters claim to be ascendents of the gypsies? So, they aren't?

    Looking for a new Denomination

Yes, I agree. I originally wanted to write, "You won't like what I will advise you, but my first thought also was Roman Catholic." :) I do hope that she'll find a loving new church home.

    What are gypsies?

Thank you for your answer. So it does have to do with the Roma. I didn't know that there are Roma in the US, though. Yes, I guess I have. ;)

    Looking for a new Denomination

My first thought also was Roman Catholic. And not (only) because I am Roman Catholic (came back from a Baptist Church btw.), but because a Catholic parish would fulfill your points pretty well.

    What are gypsies?

Hello, I am sometimes watching the German TV-station TLC which broadcasts American Reality TV-series. One of them is Gypsy Sisters. But each time I tune in (usually only when my favourite broadcasting is interrupted by advertisment), I am asking myself what gypsies actually are? I even had a...

Rites within the Church of England

Hi there, since I am planning to move to the UK (Lancashire county or Blackburn unitary) for a month, I have a question concerning the Anglican Church. I am also planning to attend church there, since going to church on Sunday has become very important for me. I've learned that there are many...

What does it mean that TEC is suspended now?

I'm really glad I posted this thread. The discussions and thoughts in here are really interesting to read. Thank you F&B and Paidiske and all the others who posted in here. :)

What does it mean that TEC is suspended now?

Thank you for your answers. Especially interesting for me is that all Episcopal/ Anglican churches are autonomous. Comparable to the eastern orthodox churches I suppose? I didn't know that. So the Archbishop of Canterbury doesn't have a higher role.

    The Lord's Supper

Which church of Christ? As far as I know there's more than one denomination with that name.

What does it mean that TEC is suspended now?

Hey. I've stumbled across this article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2016/01/14/anglican-communion-suspends-the-episcopal-church-for-3-years-from-committees/ a few days ago and wanted to ask the community something: What does it mean for tec now that they are suspended...

    The Lord's Supper

Hi there, Some of you may know me, it's a while since I've been here the last time. I'm not even sure if this is the right sub-forum. So here's my question: In which churches the lord's supper is celebrated at least weekly like the Eucharist in the Roman Catholic Church is? I'll start with...
