  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Again you’re saying that the ministry of death and condemnation hasn’t changed at all. “For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it. For...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

He tells us to ignore the 4th commandment. Roman Catholics don’t worship images, it’s actually forbidden by the RCC, and praying to the dead is not forbidden anywhere in scripture. What is forbidden is seeking council which involves attempting to acquire information thru a 2 way conversation. As...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Right but would you agree that the other 9 commandments and the two most important commandments are written on the vast majority of Christian hearts?

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

So if we can’t know whether something is written in our hearts then what’s the point of it being written in our heart? What you’re saying sound exactly like the ministry written in stone, like there’s nothing different about the new ministry at all.

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

So don’t look at reality to determine whether an interpretation of scripture is accurate or not? And I disagree that it was believers in God who crucified Christ because they were blinded because of their unbelief which is why Jesus spoke in parables, so that they would not understand because...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

So you claim that the sabbath was written on the hearts of Christians, then why is it literally the only commandment that 98% of Christians do not feel obligated to keep? Sure we may break some of the 10 commandments but we still feel conviction about doing it, but the vast majority of...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

So then you do agree that the sabbath can also be against us. When we are given the freedom to either observe the sabbath or not, it becomes for us and not against us. Hence the more glorious ministry as opposed to the ministry of death that brought condemnation that has faded away.

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Yeah so when the sabbath is a privilege it’s not acting against us, when it becomes mandated then it becomes against us. Working on the sabbath was punished by the death penalty in the Old Covenant. That’s obviously against us. Taking that obligation away now makes it a benefit to us instead of...

Explain to me what it means that the sabbath was made for man?

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Are you suggesting that the sabbath is NOT written on the hearts of Christians? Paul specifically said we’re not to be judged for not observing the sabbath. You can pretend all you want that it’s not what he said, that’s your choice but if I can point to that verse in support of my position then...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Again with this whole “rebellion” garbage. If someone wanted to rebel against God DONT YOU THINK THEY COULD FIND BETTER WAYS TO REBEL THAN WORSHIPPING HIM ON SUNDAY? It’s completely STUPID to say that people WORSHIP IN ON SUNDAY OUT OF A DESIRE TO REBEL AGAINST HIM!! IT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE AT...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

The reason there’s so much effort put into this is because you completely ignore all the scripture I’m quoting. God told who to remember it and it was a sign of which covenant? But you completely ignore all that and here we are back at the same argument over and over about who God told to...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

If you’re saying that our salvation is contingent on whether or not we observe the sabbath then that is a big problem, not for me but for you according to Galatians 5:4. It’s one thing to say that we’re supposed to observe the sabbath, it’s another thing all together to say that we’re supposed...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

So I’m trying to look for loopholes to get out of honoring God? That’s a really crappy thing to say to someone who spends so much of their time studying the scriptures just so I can disobey God. I can think of a lot better ways to disobey God if that was my intention. You would think that if...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

This is an absurd statement. James quoted Leviticus 19:18 in that passage. “If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law...
