Guy & Gals Forum moderators?

It seems that there are several gals that have mod-powers in the guys forum in Christian teens and youth ministry. Is this simply due to a 'feature' of the bulletin board software?

The Guys/Gals forums are what we call "child" forums of the "parent" forum, in this case, the Teen area.

When you create child forums, it automatically takes the moderators of the parent forums and makes them moderators of the created child forums. There's no way to get around it. You can add people specifically to the child forums as moderators, but you can't take them out if they mod the parent forums.

So it is a feature of the software.

But to ease your concern, I do know that the guys do not mod in the gals area and vice versa unless a situation calls for immediate action. :)
