It says Galatian for the Church. It says it backwards because that is what the church has done with the letter to the Galatians. This book is used by the church to show that Christains have no connection to the law. When in fact Pauls point of writing the letter was to tell the Galatians that they were already part of Israel and allowed to keep the law, becuase they were attached through faith in Yeshua as the fulfillement of the promise to Abraham. Gentiles are part of Israel not through some Rabbinical process of prostylization with circumcision and baptism, to change their ethnicity. Pauls point was that Gentiles are brought in through faith, and if you try to earn your place in the community of faith through means of the flesh, through rabbinical conversion riturlas, then you have lost the advantage of Messiah and are now on your own with the law.

Its like trying to buy your way into heaven after God has already handed you the keys and shown you to your room. Whats the point?!!! Its already accomplished, and that not of yourselves, but God in his mercy through Messiah Yeshua has made of the two (Jew and Gentile) one people the commiunity of faith called Israel that they together might live to his Glory through righteousness, and obedeince to God holy instructions. How much easier can it possibly be???

Now that IS funny! ;)

But to the subject of Pauls letter, it is the absolute lack of value that etnicity has concerning our election by God. This is important to Messianics as well. We gain nothing by converting to Judaism if we hope to increase our standing with God or securing more tightly our salvation. Paul speak in terms of Circumcised = those who are ethnic Jews or gentiles who have converted through the Rabbinic conversion ritual, and uncircumcised= Gentiles. We are to serve God and kep his comandments either way.

I Cor 7: [17] But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. [18] Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. [19] Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. [20] Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. [21] Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. [22] For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. [23] Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. [24] Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

It is the keeping of thelaw that matters reguardless if we are Jew or Gentile. That is how we Abide with God. If we are joined by faith, then we are a new creation, in Messiah, part of the one new man. The community of faith which is the Israel of God. Not the Church for they do not abide in God and are not obedient to the commandments. It is those who are faithful, and active in faith by obedience.

Gal 6: [15] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. [16] And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
