What's the best way to go about learning Hebrew? Should I take an online course, buy a CD or a book, or is there a website that will be a good starting place?

Well, there's always this website (http://www.ejemm.com/aleph/). A good start, if nothing else. ;)

Most local synagogues have Hebrew classes in the evenings for the community. In our's we have a number of christians and even professors who come to learn Hebrew. I highly reccomend a classroom setting. With a classroom you always have a personal teacher guiding you making sure you are pronouncing it correctly and so on.

There are many programs out there so there will be many reccomendations. Here are some links I have that may help you. :)
Links to Cool Hebrew sites (http://amerisoftinc.com/heblinks.htm)
Hebrew Flash cards (http://www.netwaysglobal.com/hebrew/)
Learn online Hebrew free (http://foundationstone.com.au/) ( not very friendly towards Messianics but you are only there to learn Hebrew)
Now I don't know what you want to use it for, do you want conversational Hebrew, or Biblical Hebrew to understand the scriptures or do you want to be able to read blessings and liturgy, say from a Siddur?

R. KleinThank you, Rabbi. I would love to attend a class locally, but I live in the boonies and have no synagogue anywhere nearby. Do you think one of the local colleges might offer a class? There are a few small Christian colleges in the area; maybe they offer Hebrew classes. It would be several more months before I could take a class, since my children are so young, but perhaps one day.
Zayit, I mostly want to learn biblical Hebrew. I guess pronunciation isn't the most important issue, as much as being able to read it.
IITB, thanks for the link! I've bookmarked it and will start working my way through it.
