I have a question, but plz don't eat me!!

Hi all!!
I need some advise on this. Plz don't eat me or say that i might be crazy.
My question is about seeing auras.
You see, ever since i was younger i was able to see auras. I thought that everyone saw them, so i never talked bout it. Couple of months ago i noticed that this was not normal, but i didn't take much notice of it. The last week or so, these auras have grown stronger and pretty much everywhere i go, i see them. I am a Christian now, (don't eat me, cos i really am) i am able to say that Jesus is my saviour and my shepard. I love Him.
But i don't understand why i see them if i am a Christian.
I am struggeling to see if this is good and that it might be a Gift, or if its trickery of the Devil.

These are two arguments that are really bothering me:
good: if it was bad, why could i see throughout my life, and while i am a Christian??
bad: Seeing auras is part or the New Age.

If it is bad, i will pray my heart out to make it stop. I will ignore it when i see it. I would do everything to get rid of it!!

Its just so difficult to ignore. Sometimes it gets so powerful that i have trouble seeing someones body outlines.

I also know that He is trying to tell me something. I keep feeling this same word in my mind. All that i feel is the word 'trust'. I feel like He is telling me to just trust Him, just have faith. i don't really know what to tell you...
logically i could say that yes, you may have a mental disorder and if i were you i wouldn't rule it out completely but...
there are things in this world that we don't know or understand...

what makes you think it's an aura? can you tell what kind of person they are by the color of it?

i would recommend commiting yourself to prayer and study every chance you get and maybe talking to your pastor, if you feel comfortable...if not you could go to another church where you won't know them and won't have to worry about what they think...

i will pray for you and you should put a prayer request in here too...that will definatley help.

yes, i've checked my eyes at a professional and they are normal.

Ok, i didn't tell everything. I have two friends who know this about me. I wanted to know their opionions about this, cos they are very close to me. One of the girls told me she sees this too.
I know that it is an aura, cos we had both seen colors on people without comparing. We wrote them down on a peice of paper and then showed them to eachother. They were all correct.

I am not crazy. Please, i don't want people telling me to check my eyes or see a pysciatrist or something. I want someone to tell me if this is good or not. *not speaking in an angry tone ;)*

Before you became a Christian, were you involved in occult practices? Things such as astrology, horoscopes, precognition, fortune telling, ESP, telepathy, clairvoyance, a ouija board, automatic writing, interest in ghosts, palmistry, techniques of mind expansion, drugs, hypnotism, mind control, transcendental mediation, yoga, witchcraft, WICCA, telekinesis, levitation, astral projection, spiritism, seances, or satanism (I may have left out others, that’s all I could recall).

If you even dabbled in these, you should repent and renounce this activity. (There may be something in your past as a child that you cannot remember.) If you are reading occult literature--read your Bible instead. Do you have friends that are “new age” or involved in the occult? If so, do not have fellowship with them and break away. The enemy loves to barrage us with satanic influence and create “signs and wonders” of an evil design. If you have been and are seeing these “auras” consistently and as strongly as you describe, this is not spiritually healthy. I urge you to find a good, solid Bible-believing minister and talk to him about it for help.

i honestly say that i used to be interested in Wicca and Occult practices... but i broke away from them some time ago. At the time i didn't know they were bad. I repented them all.

I have prayed many times about this problem. Read the Bible and other books.... but i am too confused.
I just feel horrible... cos i love Jesus... he is everything to me. I just don't know what to do.
I was so happy all these months... growing spiritually in Jesus. But its like i reached a brick wall and i have to break through.
My friends aren't religious. I don't really have to worry about them influencing me with New Age ideas.
The problem is that i am not part of a Church. I usually watch tv church. I have looked many times for a Church in my area, but none of them seem 'real'.

Yes, that may be exactly what you have to do--break through (good choice of words). Do you have any idea how angry the forces of evil are that you made a decision for Jesus Christ? Even Christians that are filled with God's Spirit are still subject to demonic influence upon their minds and their bodies. It's warfare, Christian! Remember though, we are joined to Jesus Christ and our Lord is stronger than demons.

This is very important--If you haven't already, make yourself familiar with the armor God has given to us. Read Ephesians 6:10-18. Truth, Righteousness, Preparation of the Gospel, Faith, Salvation, the Word of God, Prayer.

Keep looking for a good church--God will guide you. Please find a minister to talk to. I will be praying for you and others on this forum will be too.

God's Word tells us we are not to despise prophecy and this is exactly what prophecy is..... I have always seen auras and visions. God has used them in my paintings over and over again.

I have been told by well-meaning Christian Brothers and Sisters I am going to hell, I am of the devil, ad nauseum...... because sometimes I see the energy fields around people. This IS a scientific fact we do have energy surrounding our bodies. Some of us have been given the ability to see it without the aid of machines. Where do you think the paintings of the Reniassance came up with the concept of halos??? I have seen the most powerful aura's around true men and women of God who were operating under powerful anointing. It is an incredible thing to see!

I used to labor under these unjust accusations and spent much time seeking Him about the truth. I have good news for you Smell, not all these things people do not understand are 'of the devil'. They simply are special gifts the Lord has given you. Seek Him and ask Him what He wants you to do with the gift. I was guided to use my gift to discern spirits. With this, The Holy Spirit has saved my life several times and warned me of demonic activity in my church and around me, helping me intervene in prayer.

"The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. " Jesus said, "I come that ye may have life and that more abundantly." (John 10:10) Abundant life means using all the resources Jesus has given us! The enemy would NOT give me a tool to use against demonic forces, just as Jesus said to the Pharisees. Please be advised there is nothing wrong with you Smell!! Except God has given you a gift that others do not have, most do not understand. Seek Him in prayer and ask for HIS guidance in using it. I am also going to go out on a limb here . . I don't know that I have ever seen aura . . but I have twice in my life been given to see a person with either light or darkenss around them . .

One was one who had been deeply involved in witchcraft . . she had been a high priestess . . she became a Christian . .but there was still something that hung on about here from before . . this was strange to be aware of . .

A small group of us were at a Christian conference, and we had secured a private dining room so we could talk freely . . in the middle of our conversations about God, she began to tell us about how vapor like the powers of darkness really are, going deep into the scripture . . we were in awe at the words we heard coming from her mouth, it was like honey from the honey comb . . and I saw her transformed in front of me . . her face, head became golden, golden light was all around her and I realized I was seeing her a little bit as God saw her . . she was beautiful . .

The other instance is someone I know who, while I was talking with them about some things that had a spiritual nature about them, I saw his face transformed . . but this time, it took on demonic qualities . . very hard to explain, but it was as if his face changed shape slightly, and his eyes became yellow . . startling this was to say the least! I wondered if I should cast out a demon! But I felt to wait and to realize God was showing me something . .

These are the only two times such a thing has happened . .

I know some people, even Christians, are able to see what the New Agers call auras . .

The danger, from what I can see, is that such sight can cause you to seek out explanations that you will only find in the New Age movement . . and that is dangerous . .


Ask God to take this away from you if it is not of Him . .if you ask for bread, He is not going to give you a stone . .

But if He does not take it away, then trust God to teach you . .but do not turn to New Age occultic sources for knowledge or undrestanding, or you will be ensnared . .


I also was going to be a witch before my conversion experience . . and I have put far from me certain experiences that were common before . .


You should seek wise counsel . .and the only counsel I know to turn you to would be to a priest who understands such things. . you should not try to understand these things on your own . .

Aura is the recent term given to the 'energy' surrounding someone. We know we have electrical and magnetic fields within and around our bodies because of the scientific studies done concerning this. (Although we really know little more about it.) Some people can 'see' these fields without any sort of mechanical aid. Just as some people have more sensitive hearing, sight, smell, etc.
Unfortunately, this like many other real gifts of The Spirit, has been hijacked by the enemy for distortion, thus the belief this is 'new age' which it is not. Hope that helps.

It is up to you if you believe this, but i recieved a vision about the aura seeing. It is in no means bad!! It is like what SoulWings said, it is a gift from God. All the things that i have been experiencing have been explained in that one vision. I love God... He is doing many great things!! :clap:

Confusion is not from God so if you were confused about whether or not it was from God...its not.

God doesnt make you confused. Seeing these things i dont believe is from God either, He doesnt give you a vission that leaves you confused and worried.

If you have been involved in "Wicca and Occult practices" you need to repent of this and ALSO RENOUNCE them and the demonds that are attached to them.

When you got involved in these practices you 'gave way' to evil (demonds) and allowed them to come near you and afflict you and they ARE still doing that, dont be fooled by the devil!!! The devil can also give vissions and also tie it all up in one vission for you as well so that it seeming makes sence. But if you are seeing things from another religion/coult it is NOT from God!! Please dont be fooled.

Repent and Renounce (out loud say somthing like "In Jesus Name i renounce Wicca and all other occult practices that i may have had anything to do with, i no longer want to be involved in these evil things and i renounce and rebuke these occult practices and the evil spirits that are behind them i renounce you and comand you to leave me alone in JESUS mighty name." Then pray for God to fill you with His Holy Spirit..."Dear Heavenly Father i pray that you will cleanse me from thses things and forgive me and i turn from them in Jesus name and i pray that You will fill me with Your Holy Spirit, thank you Heavenly Father in Jesus Name, Amen."

Also repent of the vissions and renounce them...and ask to be filled with Gods Holy Spirit.

Just an answer too, you may not have even been involved in these evil things, they can be handed down through your generation... so that would explain why you have had these vissions since you were little and also why you were interested in these things. Its called a 'Generational Curse' In the Bible (check it out)

Try to find a church to go to, and talk to a pastor who knows about this kind of thing...but no you are not going crazy because God made us with a "sound mind".

Repent of visions? Why on earth should she do that? Christ promised us that we would see visions and dream dreams. Her eyes have been opened to the true reality, the spiritual realm. I would love her gift.

Calling the work of the Holy Spirit the work of the Devil is what the Pharasees were doing to Jesus when he warned them about blasphemy against the Sprirt. I'd becareful about that.

Nothing like legalistic Christians to kill the Work of the Holy Spirit, huh? Been there. I hate the mentality of "Well I don't understand it so it must be of the Devil". God works in mysterious ways and the only way that we can descern between what is of God and what is of Satan is by the fruit it produces.

If the vision is in line with the scriptures then I will say Amen and Praise God with you. Please do not rely on visions alone. Any vision that contradicts God's Word (even in a small way) is not of God. The written Word is your weapon against the enemy and trust (faith) is your shield. All experience must be held accountable and tested by the Word of God. The enemy can be very subtle in his deceptions therefore sometimes we need time to come to an understanding. We need fear nothing if we obey His teaching and trust Him. I will pray His Spirit leads you into all understanding.

I am 100% procent sure that this is from God. It was according to the Word. Like i said, i dIdn't know if you would believe me, but i know that it is.

I know that the Devil can give me a vision too, which will encourage me to step into this. (i don't do it on perpous)
But the Devil would not speak to me according to the Word... he would change it. This was not changing the word, it was showing me things according to the word. It was right infront of me the whole time, but i didn't have enough faith... i didn't trust enough... i was too confused. Didn't i say in one of my earlier posts that i kept feeling that He was trying to tell me to just trust Him?? Well now i see why. I wish that some of you could believe me. :cry: (thanks to those who do ;) )
It gave me such clearity on everything.... it was amazing. I felt lifted... i was filled with joy. A good feeling :hug:

When people get healed by The Spirit, it is not questioned, even though the New Age also has healing technieks. I see this as the same kind of thing. Its just not heard of often, so it gets questioned... even though it can be just as beautiful gift as healing.

I don't make it happen, i just see it.

Well, I can't say that I know much about auras, but I do know that some people have unique things about them. Seeing them doesn't mean you are bad at all. I think what it comes down to is what you choose to do with this ability. You can use it for God's glory.

Repenting doesnt mean that it should go away, its like saying that if you are addicted to alcohol that as soon as you repent it goes away, it doesnt,...the evil spirit that you have let in in the first place still has a foothold and will still keep tempting you (making you see the vissions) and you will most likely fall into sin again.

What makes it go away is renouncing the sin and any evil spirits behind it, and rebuking it and in alot of cases being delivered from it (getting God to remove the foothold) and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

I agree as someone said before that if your vissions even SLIGHTLY are not to the Bible they are NOT of God, God will not speak through the mouth of something evil, if the vission are from a 'New age religion' is is NOT from God. God gifts/words are 100% pure not 99% if it has even 1% that is off, it is all off.

Also just to note im am in NO way against vissions from God i have had them myself and i am NOT against the work/gifts of the Holy Spirit (i am also baptised in the Holy Spirit) and i do not play down any of the awsome ways that the Holy Spirit speaks to us.

I just belive after reading what has been written that this is not from God there was ALOT of confusion, worry, fear, panic, almost guilt etc and these things are all from the enemy.

Also what is the purpose of these vissions?? How does God (if it is God) use them to further His kingdom or bring Glory to His name??? If they dont have a purpose they are also not of God, everything that God does has a purpose.

Just be careful that it is not the enemy giving you these vissions and distracting you from Gods gifts. remember that people who are hooked up in the wrong things (even cults, think that they are right, the enemy is subtle) so 'dont rely on your own understanding' but seek God and ask Him for wisdom and discernment about these things, and for Him to open your eyes and soften your heart to His things. I mean when it comes down to it God will show you the truth whether its right or wrong. Please ask Him. And Keep seeking our King!! Jesus Christ!!

Emma, i know what you are saying, buy my vision has passed the test. The reason why i can't write what it was about, is because it was meant for me and it has to be kept a secret for a while.

I just belive after reading what has been written that this is not from God there was ALOT of confusion, worry, fear, panic, almost guilt etc and these things are all from the enemy.

These things came because i wasn't trusting God and because i didn't know the reasons for it. It was also becuase these things get closely related to New Age. Everything thats related to New Age is bad... i was afraid i was still bad (and i hated the fact that the past was following me), even though i had repented AND done all of this:

You know what i see on a religious friend of mine, who i met only a week ago?? I see her halo as a huge glowing white cloud around her. We have prayed together and when i looked at her, her halo was twice as large. I know what i see and i know what i am supposed to do with it.

Well I had that same thing exept for the fact that I got my eyes checked and it turned out I needed glasses... but I have contacts now that I think about it...
