AV, you are deliberaly posting fundamentalist beliefs in a liberal/moderate forum. That isn't really allowed.
The rules of this forum states that The term "liberal Christian" is extremely difficult to define and that It is sometimes a classification of exclusion - a Christian who is not a fundamentalist or moderate is probably a liberal. That is probably a liberal but not 100% because it depends upon how you define liberal. For example Jeffthefin stated here (http://www.christianforums.com/t779805) that I am...Liberal when it comes to social issues...conservative when it comes to doctrine and morality. which is the same as myself yet he faces no hostility and I do
Notice also that the rules states explicitly that 2. This forum is open to ALL Christian members.Until the rules change I shall still post here however within the forum rules I shall stay... FYI: I post every now and again in the Charismatic forum and we get along well I just refrain from debating the gifts :)
Yours in Christ,

In some ways AV1611 is correct, dispensationalism is as liberal when it comes to reading the Gospels as Bishop Spong is. They will decrease the Gospels demands not by saying it was the early church that put the words into Jesus's mouth, but that they do not apply to us at all, but to some dreamland time in the distant future.

Not having read the original thread, I'm not going to worry about it too much; if we all keep things respectful, I'm sure we'll be fine. :)

Good point. One might say it is kind of like the difference between a well researched documentary and that middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition known as... the Twilight Zone (http://www.tk421.net/gallery/sounds/#bi).

i want to say something in the defense of AV1611.
all i saw is AV1611 responding to the post that i started. everyone else did too, so i do not understand how AV1611 has started up any problems with the rules. i honestly do not know much about dispinsationalism (hopefully i have that spelled right). the name itself sounds fundamentalist, hehe, but in the end, i have no clue to make a right, just statement that this person is a fundamentalist posting in a liberal forum.
the point he made is right. it is very hard to determine what is liberal or not. i myself may be considered very liberal to some conservatives, but to some liberals i may seem conservative. in the end there is no outcome on it. but with AV1611 saying that he views things of society liberal, i see that he has every just cause to give us his side of threads posted on the Liberal Forum. i find it ironic how some Christians complain about conservative/fundamentalist views, but yet some liberals, not all of them, but some of them, act just like the way that they complain the conservative/fundamentalists acts.
in the end, AV1611 is a Christian and i welcome his opinions as long as other Christians, and even non-Christians to any thread i start up, even if i don't agree with everything he has to say. i thought being "liberal" would mean to be open to ALL views and opinions. and if someone is a liberal Christian, i would think that would mean to welcome all views and opinions within Christianity, whether if it is conservative/fundamentalists or not.

AV1611,
Your pronouncement is all well and good, however the final say for what does and does not cross the line is a call made by the moderators of this forum. I hope that is abundantly clear. I will not allow people to abuse the term "liberal" and the good-hearted nature of the people who post in this forum to debate when it's clear they're not here to learn and exchange ideas.

I truly appreciate the efforts nyj, LightHearted and Andreas are taking to preserve the peace and hold all posters to Forum rules. They are doing a fine job indeed.
Yes, all Christians are welcome here. All agendas are not.
