How one obtains Eternal life in God's presence

I've been asked to share with a small group of senior ladies in Sunday school what beliefs various people have with regard to how one obtains eternal life in God's presence. This is for tomorrow 9/19/04, so Sun. morning will be my last opprotunity to look at the posts. I appreciate those who are willing to share their beliefs.

Are you asking how someone gets saved or born again??

Some believe it's through the Sarcraments.
Some believe it's through Right living.
Some believe it's through Pilgrimages.
Some believe it's through Brama.
Some believe it's through The Shed Blood of Jesus Christ.

If you are asking how one gets saved, then there is only one way and that is believing on the name of Jesus Christ, because there is no other name under heaven in which man can be saved.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.



Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:



Romans 6:23(a) For the wages of sin is death;



Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.


Admit your a sinner

Romans 6:23(b) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.



Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.



Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:



Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

Confess your sins to God

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Accept Christ as the payment for your sins. Accept Christ your saviour from hell memtioned in Revelations verse above. Truley beliving with all your heart........being CONVINCED that HE is your saviour is being born again.
And yea, God made it this simple so that ALL men could be saved!!!!!!!

I know I'm late but I thought I would go ahead and put my 2 sense in. I belive the only way to be saved is to Believe in your heart and confess with thy mouth that Jesus christ is the son of God and is still alive today.
