I agree with Lux...you may be more Lutheran than you let on! Until you figure that out, I'll go ahead and renew your pass in Recht's absence! ;)
Bill--we LOVE having you around!

* Bradford stamps Bill's passport, 90 free days as a Lutheran...
Here I thought Lutherans were saved by grace through faith, but now I learn that Lutherans are: passed by Rose, and stamped through Bradford.
Theology will never be the same. ^_^ :P

Methinks that Rose and Bradford are now claiming apostolic authority to administer grace. Who wants to help rewrite the catechism? :P

Ooooohhhh...I am liking this!!! Perhaps I too will be able to experience the exhilarating power once held by Pope Innocent III. I don't want to share it with Bradford though...hmmm... Ah ha! I'll just excommunicate him! :P ^_^

A friend of mine at church showed me hers and I had to have one. Once I got one...my husband had to have one.

I can't swear all of this is true about Martin Luther's ring...but it makes for a good story if it's not.
This ring is a recreation of the one Katherine von Bora gave to [Martin Luther] for their wedding. It is highly detailed with symbols of Christ's passion. The flagellation and torture are represented by reeds and by the pillar and cord; the anchor on the cord stands for hope. On one side of the pillar is a ladder; on the other, the sword of Simon Peter. At the top of the cross rests the inscription "INRI" and a garnet, a symbol of Christ's blood. Below the cross are two dice symbolic of the soldiers casting lots for Jesus clothing. The spear which pierced His side stands to the left beside the reeds. To the right of the cross is a head believed to be the High Priest Caiaphas, who presided over Jesus trial. Beside the head is the reed of hyssop and the sponge soaked with vinegar.

Wait a minute!!! Doesn't this step kinda impede my universal authority? Watch it, filo, or I'll have the seat of power moved from St. Louis to Athens, GA! ;) :D

WAY TOO FUNNY!!! Mars Hill Road (and, likewise, Mars Hill Baptist Church) is just a few miles from my house. I think I will make that the new seat of power! In and not of the world? Excuse me! I am the new popette and can have it all!!! :D ^_^
I have been studying way too much church history lately...it is making me crazy!

I hate to tell you, Dan, but I think your Popemon is naked. :o You may need to find yourself a chasuble. According to my Catholic missal, a chasuble signifies perfection and charity because of it's size and fullness. I definitely think that once he is adequately attired that that description will fit Popemon to a T: Perfect, pleasant, and plump. ^_^

That sounds good. Sometimes I think "Lutheran" is the only way to describe us and the way we act, anyway.
