I would like to know how can a person know Lord Jesus. I am a new Christian and I want to be good. I read Bible but I am looking for another church near my home. I haven't had the sacraments for a while.

I have found many nice Christian people online. Some say they are friends with God/Lord Jesus. I want to be friends too. I am not good with emotions and being friends; it is hard for me to trust. How do I get to know Lord Jesus as friend? :help:

Thank you for your answers.

You will find friendship with Christ through prayer, sacraments, reading of the Holy Bible, reading of the works of the Holy Fathers, Liturgy and through speaking to other Christians.:)

You already do. The previous poster describes one way in which it is experienced. Others experience it through non-liturgical worship practices and Bible study. There're no hard and fast rules.

It takes time. One thing to remember is not to normalise other people's experiences. Different personalities tend to describe the same thing in different ways; I would not use terms like "personal relationship", "intimacy" or "know as a friend", because they create what are for me misleading expectations.

The bible really helped me see who Jesus was. Prayer helps too.
