I realize a lot of you have custom avatars! :thumbsup:

I was wondering if you made them yourselves and if you have any stories behind them.

I'm thinking of changing mine in a little bit. I think I know which one I want to use for awhile, but I'm uncertain and I was wondering what y'all (there's a good southern expression!) thought about the ones I'm considering.

Yes, I like that one lots. I'll probably be one of those people that changes avatars when I have enough blessings to be doing so. "Mulitply" is from Lost And Found's song "Mulitply" which is one of my favorite songs at the moment. I was thinking of that one first, actually :)

Nothing special about mine. My husband came up with my CF name. I just did a google image search for Luther's Rose and took the prettiest one I found. I am partial to animated gif's and especially partial to roses for that matter! (I even have a rose antenna ball on my car! :D )

But I definitely agree with Helmikaarina--the fishes and loaves gif is :cool: !!!

They really are one of the coolest Lutheran websites out there! Until about an hour ago, mine was the title page for one of Luther's translations of the Bible. Now, of course, it's not!

I'm just a proud native Texan, and it's football season, though this might be another long year for my Aggies...

I liked that one, too! I have a carved wooden statue of Christ (modeled after the Rio statue) that I picked up on one of my trips to Brazil. I keep it in my office on top of my stereo overlooking my desk. It is definitely a conversation starter! ;) :D -----R

I am partial to animated gif's
I really like making animated gifs (er, gotta call Ulead again and tell them even though I paid for my program it's once again telling me my trial period is up). So, I'll probably end up having more. You can see tons of animated gifs at my Lost And Found fansite - http://www.geocities.com/theweirdguys/ (http://www.geocities.com/theweirdguys/) if you click on "Icons." They're all 100x100 pixels or smaller because I tend to make them for the online journal communities - that's why I started making different animated gifs or stills in the first place.

I visit that site lots. Sometimes so much that I don't need to go there because I already know the contents of that site!

I've always like Luther's rose, too. We used to have a big wooden circle with it painted that would hand at the back of our fellowship hall, but I guess they decided it was getting too old and nasty to keep there.

One of these days I am going to get to GIG(Rio)... all my experince in Brazil is in GRU (Sao Paulo)...
My wife graduated from High School in Sao Paulo (Graduada). We went there as a family in 99 and took a road trip to Rio. I was up at the cross there it is pretty awsome.
