Hallo. I am a newbie Christian and I have dissociative identity disorder. I would like to know how should a Christian deal with the alters and littles. What if your alters aren't Christian? Will you still go to heaven? What would Lord Jesus think about DID people? Sorry for all the questions, but I was diagnosed with this recently. I hope to find answers to my questions here. :prayer:
Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think anyone knows. Wouldn't worry about it. One might hypothesize that different selves are different souls, for instance, implying that they all get their own answers.

~*~ Epiphany ~*~It is thought that the alters are only "fragment" personalities. But Psychologists and Psychatrists nolonger use MPD, they say DID because they believe that a person has DID because they reject parts of themself., because of past traumatic experiances like child abuse. One alther usually knows everthing, and knows of the others. The host is the ony part that does not know the althers.
This best that I can offer is pray that God heals you, and I don't see you as having one or more souls. And I don't see God rejecting you because of a mental illness. But I don't have all the answers either.
Common alters
1) child
2) protecthor
3) perscutor
4) opposite sex

I have Baby, Lenni, Mean Teen, Myself, and the Older One. Mean Teen is a boy and he scares me. He's very angry and doesn't like children nor teens. He doesn't come out much, but I hear him cursing and saying bad things about people.
Today, Baby cry because we have a fever. I woke up and she was crying. I told my therapist this and she say Baby is part of me. If I was a baby and didn't feel well, wouldn't I cry too? Makes sense, I guess.
I'm beginning to see being DID as a kind of blessing in a way. Something happened that I couldn't physically run away from. I tried, but I got punished for running away and I could't get help when people were hunting me. It is a way of dealing with things without going psychotic.
I want to be a good Christian and be nice to people and learn how to love and not be so isolated from people. I thank God for my computer; it helps me to reach out to people where I wouldn't be able to in person. Thank you for answering my posts.

Ephphany, Scripture says, that as we draw closer to God and learn more and more about Him and allow Him to work more in our life that we will find ourselfs being molded more to His image and those "others" have to leave. Any time you hear a voice that is other than "you", as a child of God, you can ask Jesus to tell them to be quiet and they have to obey, whether they are alters or littles. Ask Him to let you hear His voice only. And become familiar with your Bible so that you can know the difference between His voice and the other voices.
I'm praying for you and feel free to PM me anytime. http://luvjc.net/emoticons/friendship/0040.gif

Thank you for your prayers and support. We are doing better. Baby was crying because she has a cold and didn't want to go outside. I like to talk on the computer and learn about Lord Jesus and people.

Hello this is the Pascha Family
We have gotten good help and now we accept ourselves better. We are beginning to grow and learn more about Lord Jesus. Mean Teen has quieted down much and we try to understand why he is so angry. Our therapist helps us understand being DID. I have come to the point where I see it not as a disorder but as a blessing. I could have gone insane or died. I'm not alone in this isolation. My faith in God has increased because of this. It sounds strange, but I know I need help and I depend on God.

God Bless you Epiphany! You are an instrument of God. You are here on this board being used by Him. You are showing to all of us, that even though you have DID, you are finding peace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
What you have is a blessing because you are a testament to what God can do. Even through your disability you trust in God. How blessed are you! I feel God will use you and your disability for His glory. Trust in Him for He loves you so much!
God Bless

I don't know anything about this disorder beyond what I've read in this post. But there are well trained Christian therapists out there who could undoubtedly give you a Christian perspective on this. Pray for a good one. I will right now.
