OK, once in a while I conduct little "experiments", if you will, where I ask an open-ended question and see how everyone answers it.
No this is not a test! :)
So answer this the way YOU personally see fit.
I want to ask my fellow Messianics:
What do you do with what you know?

So answer this the way YOU personally see fit.
I want to ask my fellow Messianics:
What do you do with what you know?Shabbat Shalom Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua HaMashiach,
First I would like to quote a 52 verses that I know goes hand in hand with the question:
Mat 13:1-52 HNV On that day Yeshua went out of the house, and sat by the seaside. (2) Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.
First: Do I sit and listen to the Small Still Voice of YHWH with Yeshua HaMashiach's Faith? We can sit and seem to be listening, yet our mind can wander in this world and be distracted.
(3) He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, "Behold, a farmer went out to sow. (4) As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them. (5) Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn't have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth. (6) When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away. (7) Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them: (8) and others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty. (9) He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
The Farmer of course being Yeshua HaMashiach.
(10) The talmidim came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?" (11) He answered them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.
(12) For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn't have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.
The talmidim being of course those who sit down to hear the WORD OF YHWH. We to, need to hear the WORD OF YHWH daily. Yet, what is "whoever has, to him will be given" What must we have?
Me thinks, HaRuach is our Comforter as Yeshua said would be given unto those who are called according to YHWH's purpose.<<<Correct me on the spelling of HaRuach please
(13) Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don't see, and hearing, they don't hear, neither do they understand. (14) In them the prophecy of Yeshaiyahu is fulfilled, which says, 'By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive: (15) for this people's heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and should turn again; and I would heal them.' (16) "But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
(17) For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn't see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn't hear them.
(18) "Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.
(19) When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn't understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.
(20) What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it; (21) yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Now wait a minute here. I think I see and I also think I hear. How can I be assured that I Hear and Understand and also See and also Perceive?
(22) What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
(23) What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty."
We know now that we need the Comforter that Yeshua HaMashiach said YHWH would send when He, Yeshua went to be at the RightHand of YHWH. That is the only way we can Understand and Perceive what YHWH has had written down thousands of years ago. And even if we understand we must bring forth fruit of HaRuach.
(24) He set another parable before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, (25) but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away. (26) But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.
(27) The servants of the householder came and said to him, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?' (28) "He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and gather them up?' (29) "But he said, 'No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them. (30) Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, "First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn."'"
The servants of the householder(Yeshua HaMashiach) are the Angels of YHWH who will harvest the Earth. The darnel weeds are those who don't understand or perceive and go astray with the confusion the Evil one, HaSatan has sown in this world with false doctrines of Man.
(31) He set another parable before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; (32) which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."
When we come into the world our Flesh is stronger then our spirit which YHWH has given to each of us. If we sow fruits of HaRuach then we shall become a Light for YHWH to use to bring HIS WORD to the Lost.
(33) He spoke another parable to them. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened." (34) Yeshua spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn't speak to them, (35) that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, "I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world."
(36) Then Yeshua sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His talmidim came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field."
(37) He answered them, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, (38) the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one. (39) The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.
(40) As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.
(41) The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them which do Torah-less-ness, (42) and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
(43) Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Which way am I sown? As good seed of Yeshua HaMashiach or darnel weeds of Hasatan? Am I ready for Yeshua HaMashiach's Return? Can I say I hope so? Have I believed any of the LIES that HaSatan has sown in this world?
(44) "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. (45) "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, (46) who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
(47) "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind, (48) which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away. (49) So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous, (50) and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth."
(51) Yeshua said to them, "Have you understood all these things?" They answered him, "Yes, Lord."
Do I understand? I claim to believe. Do I have the Fruits of HaRuach? I claim that I have, yet it takes TWO witnesses to accuse someone of wrong doing and so I would say it takes TWO to know you are on the Right Path. The other being HaRuach.
(52) He said to them, "Therefore, every scribe who has been made a talmid in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things."
I have no idea of what to say on this last verse. Do we become scribes that write upon the hearts of others. I think we do. What ever fruits we bear, whether it be fruits of HaRuach or fruits of confusion which is of Hasatan, we do have the ability to either be a light or a blind guide.
My question on the last part of the sentence is what are the new and old things of my treasure?
I have not been doing anything with what I know for a while now. I need Prayer.
Shabbat Shalom,

I mostly misdirect my knowledge and abilities to fruitless endeavors and personal survival rather than focusing my attention on helping the needy and misfortunate. I try to share the truth of the Gospel and present a type of testimony to others. But there sure is a lot more that I should be doing.
To my shame,

Even the mundane things in life are accomplishing some eternal value. We never know how our actions and words affect others around us so we should always be looking for ways to encourage, to bless, to show grace for those who are unworthy of it as much as those who are deserving.
We influence people without knowing it all the time. Are we showing them that we love the Lord FIRST?
I've seen too many messianics in my life who love the Torah first, or Israel, or the jews, or their "calling", or their bank account, or business, or whatever...I am guilty as anyone of saying, "Lord what do you want me to do? OK thanks! I"ll take it from here."
For all the faults of my christian friends, most of them keep Yeshua first even in their blissful ignorance of Torah. I think this is what Paul was talking about in Romans 2.
21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. 28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law
This reminds me of something I saw while walking through Tiberias last October.
Fruit can grow in the strangest places
I pray that we would all be as graceful to christians as we are to jews.

Wow, these replies are incredible, all!
One verse that I believe fits well here is:
I Corinthians 13:12 "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."
I realize more and more that I know so little... so I do the best with what I've got and continue to seek after Him with my whole heart. Faith without works is dead. Of course we all know that we are not to base our entire redemptive value on our works, but just sthe same, what we do with what we know is important.
I asked this question and you all picked up on it's intent perfectly. This shows me two things:
1. we are a family even here on the forums, and can all come together, relate, reflect and grow.
2. that it is common to ask ourselves "What do I do with what I know?" We all desire to put into action what we have learned.
