What are some of your most amazing God moments?
You know, times when something seemed it should've happened, but didn't and you were so thankful to God for that miracle or something you really wanted happened when it seemed really unlikely?
I'll share mine in this thread, too, but I didn't want to start it with any stories.

What are some of your most amazing God moments?
One time, I decided I was going to go to my (now ex) boyfriend's house to see him. At that time, I had a big Ford F-150 pickup truck.
It had been raining. I got on the freeway and all seemed fine. I went to pull over into the left lane and I suddenly feel my wheel slip and I go hydroplaining all over the freeway. I'm wasn't sure what to do and I was extremely scared. I turned and my bumper hit the guardrail on the left and I spun more than 360 degrees.
I came to a rest and not a single car was on the freeway that needed to pass me. It was completely void of cars. A man in front of me stopped and walked back to make sure I was okay. I was very shaken, but I managed to pull the truck over to the side of the freeway.
He talked to me and looked a bit at my truck. Nobody was hurt and nothing major had happened to my truck. He just stood there with me while I sat and got all composed again. I had put my head down while the truck was out of control and lightly stepped on the brakes. However, it seemed to only get me to spin and I couldn't control the truck at all.
The man told me to just drive home as I wasn't that far from my home. I got off the freeway and drove home quite carefully. I told my parents when happened and they went and looked at my truck. I had only broken parts of the front grill and headlights and gotten the front grill smashed against one of the tires.
As for me, the only that happened was a sprained ankle and me being quite scared.
I know God had plenty of angels looking after me and I was especially unworthy of that at that time! I'm still unworthy of any of God's miracles, but I was doing things for my boyfriend (I thought I was going to marry him - he's dumped me by now and it's not a loss at all) - so I wasn't exactly being the "good Christian girl" that I feel I should be.
I thanked God for that over and over and still do every day. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for God's amazing miracles! :amen:

Bridget--you just have the best threads!! I love these. :) And what a great story you have!
Well, my most notable "God moment" was meeting my *now* husband. We were both incredibly young (I was 14, he, 15) and as cornball as it sounds it really is true that when we first met I completely and honestly felt God's voice tell me that this was the guy I was supposed to marry. This really came as quite a shock because: 1) I didn't know a thing about him, 2) He was older than me and that was just weird in my opinion, 3) I was wayyyyy too shy to ever tell someone that I liked them much less that God told me to marry them (not exactly a great opening line, let me tell you!), and 4) I didn't want a boyfriend at that time and had big plans to become a pediatric cardiologist and get married around age 35 or so. Well, obviously, we did start dating (through some more divine intervention, actually, but that's too much to get into) and I must admit, God was completely right on this: we are totally perfect for each other. I realize that this story sounds very much unbelievable, and I kind of hate telling it to people because no one ever trusts that it's true, but from the bottom of my heart I can promise that this is exactly what happened and my life has been changed for the better ever since. :)
I have also had several other "God moments," including how I came to Lutheranism and also how I came to live in the area where I live now, but they're rather boring in comparison. They are very special to me, though. Whenever I feel myself doubting my faith that I look back to these "God moments" and remember that God is very real and present and working in my life. You are totally right--God has amazing miracles that He performs each and every day!

One of mine was when God told me I could quit praying for my father- in- law because he was going to be called home.

Aw <3. . .these threads are just something that is quite commonplace to me :) And I feel it's important to discuss these things! They strengthen our faith!
I would imagine, "Hey, God told me we're going to get married" isn't a great opening line. I don't think people would like that too much. (More like "Are you crazy?").
Anyway, I know a person who just knew she was going to marry a guy even though it took a long while for them to get back together.
Sadly, he died back in December. Still, such stories are so amazing!

The concept of GRACE is always amazing, even if you understand it, there are times it just "hits home."

It's just amazing when God lets you know, even if it's a sad.
