There are many threads here at CF with people with many differing views and opinions. Have you ever changed your opinion through a discussion here at CF?

Poll suggestion thanks to Faerieeva.

I voted yes, but it's more a matter of it lead me to put more research and thought into a particular subject, which caused my original to become enriched, and yes, sometimes changed. Hope that makes sense. :)

I voted yes, but it's more a matter of it lead me to put more research and thought into a particular subject, which caused my original to become enriched, and yes, sometimes changed. Hope that makes sense. :)Although I voted no but it has made me think of other possibilites. And upon pondering other points of view in most cases my view is made stronger. Just call me "Bull Headed".
However I confess that I do not know everything so lets do this poll again in a few months and who knows someone just might get through this thick skull.

I didn't vote: it's only my 2nd day here, but it's worth saying that the fellowship of those who disagree is often more valuable, in strengthening character, & driving us to tje Bible, "to see if these things are true"

I can't recall if I put here that there are 2 series, in this week's "Thought For The Day" that help members of a Christian discussion forum - or any forum

Mon/Wed is @ coaching each other, & Fri/next Mon @ handling criticism God's way

Poll suggestion thanks to Faerieeva.

No, not really but some discussions have certainly made me evaluate my stand on issues more closely, especially in the case of evolution - creation. There are certainly people far more advanced then myself in science and seeing things from their POV has been eye opening to say the least. That being said, i'm still a literal 6-day YECist after having observed posts on theistic evolution.:D

Having been a Christian for over 30 years, it's good to have had my beliefs challenged on certain issues so that i not only understand other people's POV but examine whether what i believe is truly Biblical or not. ;)

Yes, just lastnight in fact. What was funny, I have been posting to the same person for a few weeks, disagreeing like a mad dog, lol. He showed me something pertaining to the antichrist that I had never noticed before. The AC comes out of the bottomless pit:Rev 17:8 ~ The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Also, that the angel in the bottomless pit is called Apollyon...AC/Apollyon?
REVELATION 9 (http://cgi.godsview.com/cgi-bin/rcdenig/pdchap.pl?file=5543&occ=0)
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon
Well, finding out this has changed my Eschotology somewhat regarding who the AC is going to be. NEVER think that someone else can't show you something new. God does use others in the body sometimes, to shed light on His Word.

Yes, I have changed two areas of my life.

First, when I started here at CF, I was modalist, had been for over 20 years. But through discussions on UTD, as well as some private discussions, I became trinitarian a few months ago.

Also, when I came to CF, I was RLDS, and considered unorthodox. Because of many things that have occurred, and sparked by some discussions, also in UTD, I have left the RLDS church and now place my faith totally in the Christ of the Bible.

God works in mysterious ways.

I voted yes being in apologetics mostly has made my faith much stronger.
I have found the nonbelievers has even less proof than I, since my God is personal and I know what he can do.
These silly Pascal's wager argument makes little sense on a personal level.

No, but it has made me think of other possibilities.

I copied that from the Poll but I would change the word possibilities to ideas. Other possibilities sounds like I might switch my religion or something. I am always open to ideas which is why I like Polls, but I often run into people trying to prove that I am wrong and I don't like that.

Thinking is a good thing to do!

I agree that some posts have made me think and research topics, but as for changing my mind on what God has done for me and where He has led me - there in no chance for a change in my heart there!
