Both My Wife and I accepted Christ on April 25th when Duane and Iris Blue came and spoke at our church. We were both baptized this past sunday.:)

There was no option for accepting Christ after you were baptised. ;)
Great to hear that 2004 has been a special year for all of you!!
Any particular reason why you haven't been baptised yet, Nevada77?

I have accepted Christ 2 months ago and I've been asking our Minister for a Baptism. He said he will organise one within this month. He said in the old days they used to baptise pretty much as soon as you are converted but I wanted to be baptised by immersion in a river which is why it is taking so long because we cant find a shallow and clean spot by the river we are near. :(

I accepted Christ on September 3, 1999. I wasn't baptized until two summers after though, because I wanted my uncle, who is a pastor, to do it. He lives in Florida, so I had to wait for a chance to go down there.

I haven't been baptized yet. I'm thinking around Christmas time. I just want to read the Bible, and learn more before I do. :)

I wasn't baptized for years after I was saved. I didn't know I was supposed to or what it meant. No one explained it to me, and I went to a Baptist church. Yeah, there were a lot of problems with that church, but at least they preached the Gospel accurately.

My initial reaction was I'm not completely saved until I'm baptised but I was told that if I'm saved, I'm a Christian. Baptism is good, as an external symbolisation, but it doesn't mean we aren't saved until we are baptised. But I kept asking anyway. :)
Aaand... :)
Spoke to the Minister yesterday. Looks like I'm getting baptised at the end of this month. Woohoo!!! :) :)

Why is there no option for ppl who were baptised as babys? It is a very common practice.
Personally tho, I wasnt baptised for a few years after becoming Christian, I knew it was a big thing and wanted to know more about it first so I studied Christianity for a while and baptism speciffically for a while before deciding. Now I am studying Christianity full time (Bachelor of Theology).
Long story short, don't feel pressure to rush it.

I was baptized 14 years after I was saved. Yeah, that was a long time to delay it. I was saved when I was 6 so the whole ordeal scared me. Even when i finally got baptized at 19 is was pretty scared but in the end the feeling was undescribeable.

I didn't really understand about the whole born again baptism (adult baptism) Iwas also told that although I should do it I should felt as though I was lead from God to do it and when.

After monthes of waiting until I felt lead to be baptised I finally do. This past weekend I talked to the Pastor of my church and told him that I wanted to be baptised. he is putting me on the list and will be arranging a night to do it soon.

Praise God for your obedience to His command! May you draw closer to Him as you take this blessed step. Let us know how it turns out.

I'm not following...
Do you mean your pastor (assuming that's the person) is not baptizing anyone for 3 months or makes each person wait 3 months. I don't understand.

My parents don't want me to get baptized yet, they want me to find a good church to 'settle' down into and stay there. Methinks that as soon as I hit eighteen and am off at college, this little froggy's going to get baptized..whether she swims or drowns! =) God bless.

I accepted Christ as my Saviour 2 years ago but I haven't been baptised yet coz I'm not sure. I haven't committed my whole life to God and maybe that's why I'm not sure about getting baptised coz somehow I always think that baptism is a commitment.

In my case it's more of a lack of a person I actually trust to do it. I don't take it lightly. I've not even taken communion because I haven't been baptized. At least for me it seems "out of order".

I've been saved since I was about 13 or 14 and I am still not yet baptised. I hope to be baptised within the coming months though. Hopefully within the coming weeks.
