Taken from A Prayer Book of Catholic Devotions: Praying the Seasons and Feasts of the Church Year

This devotion to the Five Wounds is attributed to St. Clare of Assisi (1194-1253), the ardent and perfect disciple of St. Francis, the poor little man of Assisi (1181-1226). Towards the end of his life Francis had a vision of Christ crucified, and through that mystical experience he received both nails and wounds in his hands and feet and was pierced in his side. Francis was the first to receive these stigmata, as they are called, and as a kind of living crucifix he inspired fresh devotion to the cross and the five woinds of the Savior. THe three orders founded by ST. Fracnis have been privilidged to preach devotion to the sufferings of Jesus throughout the world for the last eight centuries.

In honor of the wound in His right hand
Praise and glory to you, Lord Jesus, for the wound in your right hand. Through this wound of love, please forgive all the sins I have committed in thought, word and deed, by neglect of your service, and by my self-indulgence both waking and sleeping. Help me to keep your death on the cross and your five wounds always before my mind. I want to show my gratitude to you by carrrying my own cross each day for your sake. Please grant this, Lord Jesus, you who live and reig, now and forever. Amen.

In honor of the Wound in His left hand
Praise and glory to you, Lord Jesus, for the wound in your left hand. Through this wound of love, have mercy on me and remove from my heart anything that displeases you. Grant me victory over the restless enemy that prowls about seeking to devour me. Fill me with your strength so that I may resist him, steadfast in faith. Through your merciful death deliver me from all the dangers that threaten my life and salvation and make me become worthy of residing in your heavenly home, where you live and reign, now and forever. Amen.

In honor of the Wound in His right foot.
Praise and glory to you, Jesus, good Savior, for the holy wound in your right foot. THrough this wound of love, grant that I may truly repent in proportion to the magnitude of my sins. Through your bitter death on the cross, keep us continually united to your will and preserve us body and soul from all adversity. When the dread day of judgemetn comes, receive my soul into your loving arms andg rant me eternal joy, O Lord, you who live and reign, now and forever. Amen.

In Honor of the Wound in His left foot.
Praise and glory to you, Lord Jesus, for the wound in your left foot. Through this wound of love, please grant me full pardon of all my sins so that before I die I may confess all my sins with perfect contrition, receive the sacrament of your Body and Blood, be anointed for glory, and pass on to you in complete puirty of body and mind. Hear my prayer, O Lord, you who live and reign, now and forever. Amen.

In honor of the wound in His side.
Praise and glroy to you, Jesus, worthy of all love, for the wound in your holy side. THrough this wound of love, we see your immense mercy revealed, not only to the Roman soldier who pierced your heart, but to us all. I am now being delivered from every evil, past, present, and yet to come, through the merits of your precious blood offered and received throughout the world. By your bitter death, please grant me lively faith, unshakable hope, and perfect charity, so that I may love you with all my heart and mind and strength and my neighbor as myself. Establish me in your holy ways, so that I may persever in your service and plase you, both now and always. Amen.
