Theoretically, if there was intelligent life to be found elsewhere in the Universe. Would they have been created by God?

Well since God created Everything , Then He had to create All life anywhere.

Hi

Yes I think God did create life everywhere in the universe, and since God are everywhere, nobody but Him would have created life, after that, it's only copying by using the tools God give to every one, so if we do genetic life creations (like men cloning) it's only copying God and using (maby without His permission) knowleges coming from God, even if they don't believe in Him.

i put only on this earth, but since you wanted us to pressupose there is life elsewhere then yes god would have created that too. Why is that choice there?

Maybe I'll write it one of these days.

I would have to say that...Yes... anywhere and everywhere, life was created...but thats a tuffy. Because we have not found LIFE ON MARS of anything, but God did creat everything. So I guess YES I belive so.

Otherwise, I might be a lil scared of knowing who else is making life out there on the other planets. And yes I do believe there is live on other planets because there's millions of planets...but then I wonder who does God love best? lol

I used to think it was possible. I have concluded that the Lord probably did not create life (simular to earth) on any other planet. This of course excludes life forms in heaven. I have come to wonder if the stars we see are actualy angels (the hosts of heaven.) Lucifer is called the light bearer. Angels can be dazzeling bright. Is it not possible that they are taking the form (or have them naturaly) of what we call a star?

Just a thought.

Our last assistant pastor, whose whole family left the forbidden occult when they got saved, said that "alien messages" were the same as those of forbidden mediums, denying the reality of Hell, by claiming that all go to Heaven

He pointed out that, as demons are fallen angels, they can manifest the metal appearance of the angels in Ezekiel 1, but to deceive people

"I don't think that there is any other intelligent life out there. I think that it's just us, the angels, and the trinity."

Some things lead me to believe in this as well, but then I am just not sure. There are so many planets out there that it's hard to believe the vastness of the universe being completely empty except for us. But, then as I said, some things lead me to believe what you said as well. I don't really have a strong belief on it, and if we discovered for sure whether or not there are others out there, it wouldn't effect my religious beliefs one way or another anyway.

God bless!! :)

This question is a no-brainer. If there is a god and it created the universe then of course this god would have created all life forms.

The very Hebrew word for "Earth" means any landmass. It would therefore include anyother terrestrial planet that has life.

PaladinGirl

I voted Only on earth God created life because if God had created life somewhere else, I think he would have told us about it. However, that's not to say that extraterrestrial life doesn't exist. There might even be intelligent extraterrestrial life that exists. But if God created this exterrestrial life he would have told us about it.

because even though the elements in which alien life is constructed was created by God, we don't know if that alien life exist.

In some ways the universe itself can be said to be alive. If intelligent life is meant, then the 'otherworldly' life of angels whould have to be included. Don't they count as biologicals too?

I am an avid sci-fi/fantasy fiction buff...Star Wars, The Matrix, LOTR, The Wheel of Time. That being so, my mind is very open to the possibility of existences other than our own within the real world. The question posed here asks if God created all life in the universe, but I think it is more a question of DID he...even the newest of believers knows that all matter that exists was and is created by God. Therefore, if it's out there, then yes He created it. My fiancée and I have had the debate a couple of times, her stance being that God ONLY created life on earth...and my stance being that until we find specific and direct word in the bible, I am open to the idea that He may have populated other places in the universe.

It may not be "intelligent" life, but it seems logical to me that it is very probable God painted His magic in many different places on the vast canvas of the universe. Anybody ever heard of a water bear?...it's a microscopic critter that could survive in the vacuum of space. There are tons of creatures that we already know of on earth that could survive in atmospheres that would kill us on other planets. That being the case, it seems to me that otherworldly life is VERY probable. There are things that we are NOT intended to know so it's not safe to assume that God would have told us if there were other life forms out there.

lol, ok that's enough from me on that one...i am sure my fiancée will come along and counter all that i have said here

God bless

Oh, yikes! I answered the question before reading the longer version. I should have checked "yes," because I believe God created everything, regardless of planet! Instead I clicked on "Not sure" because I assumed the question was based on whether or not there exists life on other planets. I don't imagine we can change our poll answers, so I wanted to at least explain here!

I put not sure in answer to this poll. There is no evidence in the bible of God creating intelligent species on other planets, but there could be. I do find it hard to imagine such a huge universe... even such a huge galaxy... with only one planet with intelligent species. There is no way to tell wether there is or not unless we find signs of them or meet them personally, so I refuse to speculate as to wether there is or is not any "alien" species out there.

I don't know if this is blasphemy or what but I saw a UFO when I was a kid. It wasn't a cigar shaped thing or a saucer or anything like that. I couldn't explain it then and still can't. I don't know if there is life out there or what I saw was some AMAZING project being run by some governement. God created the universe and if there is life out there then He would have to be responsible. I know in writing this I will get a lot of criticism and people will prob think I am crazy, but unfortunaltely for some of you I am not and I feel kinda cool that I got to witness something so amazing.

Could be. Life could have evolved naturally under certain conditions (not those of early earth). Not knowing God so well, I have no idea whether he left such things to chance. It may be that there is an extraterrestrial species somewhere. It could be to test our faith, to better our own by comparison, or just to engage our curiosity. There might even be another sentient race somewhere, each with its own religion comparable to Christianity, which would be equally valid for it.
On the other hand, I speculate that God made us for companionship (talking to oneself for eternity would be lonely!), and that billions of us might well be enough for Him.
In short, I put 'unsure' because it was the closest option to 'could be either'.

The whole universe was created in Christ and for Christ; nothing exists apart from Him. Also, nothing happens apart from God anywhere in all creation, and there is no other Name given "under heaven" (i.e. in realm of time and space) whereby we must be saved.

Part of the difficulty is answering the question of what is life? I believe it is a process for which the potential exists everywhere in this universe. However for that potential to be realized to the extent found on this planet or where near, I believe would take the personal attention of God.

I think it is quite likely that the right circumstances of life may have occurred on planets in many galaxies and I do not believe that God would be in any way incapable of encouraging that life in all those places to become whatever He desired of them. Life being the purpose for which He created the universe, I do not believe that God would have neglected life anywhere it might be found.

Even if the circumstances for the occurence of life are entirely of God's own devising then I still find it doubtful that He would have pursued His purpose only on this planet and only in this galaxy. Of course the theological questions that such possibilities raise are quite interesting. But I think the main thing we must accept is that God cannot be limited by our theology or by the Bible. We cannot say (nor is it our place to say) what God has or has not done elsewhere in the universe. The Bible is what God has chosen to reveal to us and so it is only the limits of our knowledge and in no way limits what God has done.

IF we would find life on other planets ... God would have created them too. However, I do believe that God only put man on Earth. Any other planets were never made to support life. Earth is the only planet in this system that has everything "just right" for life to exist and flourish.

Besides, nowhere does He say in the Bible about creating other life. He "messed up" with Adam and Eve so He decided to try again somewhere else?

Well, there are many other planets outside our Solar System... if life can exist on Earth, then why not on some of the millions of other planets? :)

And some people say that this Bible verse is about life on other planets... :)
