Lost in sin?

Just looking for everyones views on this. What do you think, do you accept like mainstream christianity that sin entered mankind as a result of the first sin, and that becuase of this mankind is entirely lost to sin. Or do you accept like judaism the idea of HaShem creating an evil inclination within mankind to tempt them so that they may overcome it themselves for him (with of cource, Teshuvah for when that fails).

Im personally not quite sure which is correct to be honest, there are no messianic congregations in my country (northern Ireland) so Im not quite fully sure on which path is the true one from HaShem on this issue (should maybe pray about it some more)

To me this is two ways of saying the same thing - if you don't overcome Ayin Ra, if you don't make T'shuvah you are lost - you can't do either without His help. NO one can do this without failing, that why EVERYONE needs atonement. Jew and Gentile.
