My signature, ‘Obscuris vera involvens,’ means the “truth is enveloped in obscurity.” The phrase was used by Virgil, Francis Bacon, and appeared on the shield of Pallas Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and the arts. Above her is written, ‘Sic fulget in umbras,’ which translates as “thus it shines in the shadows.”

Here is an example. It is written that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) .

There were three entrances to the tabernacle as prescribed in Exodus, the gate, the door, and the veil or curtain. In the time of Jesus, these three entrances were nicknamed “the way, the truth, and the life.”

The gate was a wide gate: “Whosoever will may come,” and it symbolizes God's open invitation to those with "ears that hear and eyes that see." (Prv 20:12)

What Dreams May Come...doh! I feel foolish now. :)

The themes are the same though!?!

"..To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, ..."
