I know that skullcap covering is traditional in Judaism, but I want to know what those who are Messianic think about it, especially for men who aren't Jewish.

I keep thinking about this passage:
(1 Corinthians 11) 3Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 4Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head--it is just as though her head were shaved. 6If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. 7A man ought not to cover his head,[6 (http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bible?language=english&passage=1+Cor.+10-11&version=NIV#footnote_208779036_6)] since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
The entire (as in, beyond what I posted) section is quite interesting to me as a possible appeal for women to wear head coverings...and indeed, many Jewish, Christian and women of other Religions do this practice. However, this right here seems to me negative for a man to do. Would the kippa be considered such a thing or do you view it in a completely different context entirely?

Dear Catherine,

There seem to have been a rather thorough treatment done of this topic by Simcha_Torah in another thread. You might want to gnaw on it a bit

And this is interesting:
What the Torah and our Sages reveal about hair (http://www.tckillian.com/greg/hair.html)
