Are you a member of a congregation?
Do you just show up at a congregation some times or go to a different one every week?
Do you never join in an assembly for some reason? Would you if you could?
Do you submit yourself under the authority of a pastor or Biet Dien
perhaps a Rabbi?
Or is all that stuff un needed and are you studying G-ds word
on your own?
I am currious to what other folks are doing everyone may reply MJ or not and your identity is hidden in the answers.
Thanks

a mixture of #1 and #4, but I answered 1 since we can only choose one option.

I put that none describe because my husband and I do not have a congregation to attend, and we study on our own, but we do not think that "that is enough". We want more and are unable to find it.

I am under the authority of a Bet Din which automatically makes it that I am under the authority of a Rabbi which automatically makes it that I am in community/Congregation.

I choose "none of the above" because I am a member of an apostolic team called "Revive Israel." Our job is to plant messianic congregations, discipleship centers, prayer houses, other ministries, etc. We also encourage and bless the existing congregations in the land. We have a team leader whose name is Asher Intrater and I consider him my authority, but we operate together as a team. My wife and I were the youth leaders of the largest Hebrew-speaking Israeli messianic congregation in Israel , but am resigning soon to concentrate on the team ministry. Even that my wife and I started from scratch with three Israeli youth, now it is 20 onfire Israeli messianic youth with three leaders we trained to take our position. When in a congregation I submit to the leadership of that congregation whether I am part of it or not. Our apostolic team's oversight is Tikkun (www.tikkunministries.org) in America and Maoz Ministries (www.maozisrael.org) in Israel.

I also want to say that I am happy to be directly under Asher, he is a great authority that doesn't "lord it over them." He gives the freedom and the oppurtunity to operate in each person's calling, while providing spiritual oversight and wisdom.

You've acquired some Adware from somewhere. If you have a program like spybot or adaware, you should probably run it now. ;) If you don't, do a google search for them; they are both free downloads.

We're in the same camp over here, except that there are enough of us that some consider us a small congregation. :)
Peace!

We were regularly attending one congregation for about 2 years, but didn't consider ourselves "under their authority" b/c I knew we would want to leave eventually. We were going there b/c it was the same denomination we had attended before moving, and my DH didn't want to change denominations in the midst of all the other changes we had going on that year. But I was very unfulfilled in that church. Also, I knew that if we "placed membership" there, it would be very difficult to leave later. As it is, it will probably be difficult to leave anyway. We've missed the past few Sundays b/c of family in town, being out of town ourselves, or visiting other congregations (horror of horrors! ), and this week we got one e-mail, one phone call, and one personal visit (though we weren't home at the time) from the old congregation trying to "check up" on us.
However, if we can find a congregation that we both feel comfortable with and that is more consistent with what we find in Scripture, then I want to be under their authority as long as they abide by Scripture. I think that as a relatively younger couple, we could really benefit from having spiritual leaders in our lives who hold us accountable, and to whom we can turn when we have problems.
