his perfect love

hey I posted this in another thread and was wondering whether others agreed,
I believe that God uses tough love on us. It has to be for the right reason though, as parents, people sometimes just get mad and shout at their children in a temper, however God uses tough love to protect us from ourselves sometimes, he does not lose his temper. we should try and imitate his perfect love even though we shall never reach it!
like us God uses tough love to protect and teach us, we can do the same!!!
so what do u all think, does he use tough love, or just love?

God does use tough love. When we touch a hot stove, we get burnt. Sometimes when we violate God's Law, we will get burnt as well. It's purpose is not to harm us, but to serve as a warning for the much graver punishment that we would receive. God wants all of us to know His will and to obey it. He laid down some rules that help us and keep us safe from harm, like a Father would. And like a father he exercises both punishment and patience.

Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

This is patience and this is love. Along the way we will get our spankings to remind us of what is right, so that when the time comes, we will be living in God's grace.

And none of us deserve this eternal life, but it is a gift. So let us not let down our Father, but repay his love with obedience and faith.
