I had read about a miracle of fire that takes place at Pascha in Jerusalem in more than one web site. (I prefer when looking at things on line, to not take anything at face value.)

But these photographs are very compelling: (Go to this web site to see them.)

On the same website there are pictures of miracles related to icons that has no words explaining them at all. Has anyone heard of these? (click on web site please)

I am especially wondering what these "reflection" miracles are. And isn't the "Flash" just the light bulb flash of the camera? I believe in miracles, but there is no description of these here.

Well, I know that the miracle of the holy fire is a widely known miracle. As far as the weeping Icons and such, I have no idea. I do have a question about that: Assuming these are actual miracles, why do you think the Icons weep? IOW, what does it symbolize? Are they all sad?

This one is strange.

If the fire miracle is "well known", then why is it such a secret? I have been interested in Christianity my whole life and never have I heard of this.

Again one of the priest has said to me: "Orthodoxy is the world's best kept secret."

But I can't help feeling cheated. I wish I had heard of these things long ago.

LOL, I suppose it is an oxymoron to say that something is a well-known secret. What I meant is that it is well known within the Orthodox Church. Before a few months ago I had never heard of it. I guess the media is too busy trying to dig up crud on people or influence political opinions to report on a miracle that happens every year. Gee, nobody wants to hear the good stuff, you know.;)

Without being rude, isn't it fair to say all churches have miracles evident through the years?
