I just wanted to say that my memories of the church that I grew up in, Are what I think being a Baptist is all about...

I remember wooden pews...hymnals..with Just as I am...bringing in the sheaves...all those classics...a piano and an organ...with a church choir. A pastor whose voice boomed over us waking us...Vacation Bible school, trying to memorize the books of the bible, bible verses,..Food

My grandmother's church in MO...included millions of daddy long legs congregating outside it's door..their attendance was greater than the people's....one piano...six people.. fans...

What about a mourners bench? I heard churches used to have them. My church does and the church building is over 100 years old.

However I think a person's faith is much more than a building.
