This is a subject that is not difficult. I believe that a little one-on-one formal debate on this would prove to be exremely interesting and helpful to all readers. The setting of the early church in the 1st century is what we read of in the New Testament. A debate like this, I think, would help all of us today in the 21st century to be better 'dividers' of the word of God. (2Tim.2:15)
Topic- When the Holy Spirit is mentioned as being received by some people in the New Testament, it is sometimes meant to be the Holy Spirit's miraculous 'power' and not the Holy Spirit's 'person' or (Himself).
Affirm/Deny- I will deliver the first Affirmative. The person chosen to take up my challenge will then post their Denial. The discussion will end with 3 Affirmatives and 3 Denials. Each post shall consist of not more than 2000 words. Each response to a post shall take no longer than 1 week.
Outside quotes are permitted but are to be included in the 2000 word post limit.
Start of the discussion will take place when it can be worked out with the challenger.
