Hi and welcome to the forums :)

I got about the same problem as you, I were living with a non-believer when I became a Christian. And according to Christianity I should marry instead of just living with her, but at the same time Christianity seem to advice that Christians should not marry Non-Christians. So what is the best thing for me to do? I have no idea, I just have to pray to God that he show me what I should do.

I made a topic about it here: Can Christians marry Non-Christians? (http://christianforums.com/showthread.php?t=7278308)
There is not many answers there yet, but you could keep an eye out for answers there and here, and maybe you find something that makes it more clear for you.

This far my view on it is: It is not a sin to marry a unbeliever, but God don't recommend it for us.

If your religion is no different from theirs -- if it doesn't show some intensely persuasive insight or desire that compels you toward this Personal God Who gave up so much so that you may live eternally -- then I'm not sure why. But if they're just two religions, then Jesus doesn't mean what He should.

In my country Islam does not have any idea of a Personal God. When I bring this up to my Muslim friends they're not simply fascinated. They're attracted.

Now, that doesn't mean my Muslim friends have converted, no! They feel an allegiance to the impersonal god they've been taught and they've adapted to what he means for their lives. It's also a big deal for family and country connections. It's a tough road.
Do not become unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God 2 Cor 6:14-16

I agree with bellicus, I dont think its a sin either but God doesnt reccomend it. And I wouldnt reccomend it either especially if your not strong in the Faith.

Different religion backgrounds can cause problems, different ways on doing things, people have different restrictions in life.

This one couple saddened me, this Christian woman converted to Islam for her husband, she lost her faith because of him :( I think he actually convinced her too..

All im saying is be careful, make sure you are strong in the faith and just hear what God has to say :)
