we live in a little town next to a city ...
And we still have a downtown.
On one block (near the post office, a string of restaurants incl. Chinese and vegetarian and a "music store" that carries largely CDs but still stocks vinyl) is the local Clubhouse for mentally ill adults.
Today, the proprietor of the skate shop brought bags of new clothes and sneakers to give to the members of the Clubhouse.
(call me silly; but how remarkable !)
its an ugly world sometimes, but not always :)
