I have just read an article on the Internet which I wanted to share with you. I will give you the link below but it is in German. It is about a SELK (= LCMS sister church in Germany) congregration that started to provide a room for language courses for refugees in 2000. Through this many of the attendants came to know the pastor who spoke with them about the Christian faith and eventually also organized catechising courses for those who were interested. In the meantime about 50 former Muslims from Iran got baptized and are members of this or other congregation. Every Sunday afternoone they meet to discuss the semon in Farsi, the Persian language, and they also translated parts of the Liturgy and the Small Catechism into Farsi.

I think this is wonderful and I was delighted to read this article. Missionary works among Muslims is extremely difficult. But I think this example shows that God really works through his Word.

Now here is the link for those who understand the language or want to polish up their skills:

Anything would be better than being a Muslim. I've read articles like this to and I hope it catches on mightily.

Our district (SELC District of the LCMS) has an active mission program to Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, etc. We have a pastor who works with the Muslim population in Montreal, but also travels around the Synod speaking about Muslim outreach.
