Anyone know some cool christian music, without vocals saying "Jesus" every second, I just want something really powerful that i can play while my girlfriend is here, and that is really like new, cool music that she will like as a non-beliver.
Something like Casting Crowns - Set Me Free (i was not allowed to give the youtube link cause of low postcount, but after going to youtube the video is on watch?v=8N2hB7ENRRE&feature=related) They only say Jesus once there, but when they say it there is real power in it, its not like the songs where they just say jesus jesus jesus etc. with some boring sounds to it.

You can follow Already Over (http://youtube.com/watch?v=VbbFW8qxjxs) and its references -- click on "Already Over" up at the top.
I also really like Pieces (http://youtube.com/watch?v=x3U6BCUQqG8), though it's slower.

I was gonna say anything Casting Crowns, but you've already beat me to it. I love Mercy Me, FFH (although some of their stuff is a lil cheesy, but I kinda like cheesy, I mean I am the biggest fan of musicals and stuff like that), Jeremy Camp is good. I actually recommend Jeremy Camp, because his lyrics are great, they're so thought-provoking. Um...Mark Shultz is great, he has a lot of variety. JJ Heller is good, she's more of a folky kind of person.

Might I suggest you give a listen to Phil Fischer, who just might have a website under his own name, I couldn't post it if he did, do to low post count, but you might want to go to
philfischer.com
He has great music, that does not get to heavy on the "religion", but definitely carries a beautiful message filled with the spirit of the lord

David Crowder Band. good band is you like experimental worship/nontraditional worship. Also Decemberadio if you enjoy hard rock. DCB, some song titles are real cheesy, but he's cool.

I don't know a lot of Christian bands, but there are Christian bands out there of every genre (I've even heard of Christian death metal, and might have a CD laying around here somewhere by a Christian death metal band).
A good Christian song can mention God, Lord, or Jesus several times without turning non-Christians off from the song.

Sort of along these lines, I was at a youth gathering about 8 years ago and there were a couple of guys who sang music. I know one of their CD's is titled "This and That". I can't seem to find them on google or anything. Anyone else heard of them?

I like songs that have uplifting melody and open a message where things are said by their real names. The more Jesus is mentioned in the song the better! :D Nevertheless Skillet is freaking awesome. Especially Comatose.
