What do you think of mehadrin bus/rail lines?

I think as long as they are privately run, no problem.

I am not sure publicly funded transportation should
be mehadrin. But I am conflicted, because I also realize
that those religious Jews who need the service won't
be able to travel if they do not exist.

I personally do not believe unmarried men and women should
be sitting next to each other, but I don't believe that women
and men need to be separated front and back of the bus.
Especially a married couple.

And how come the men get the front of the bus anyway, LOL?

And what do you think about this level of observance?

Does it go too far?

no, not too far

also I don't believe in the "separation of 'church' and state" -- that is I DO believe the government should NOT determine who, when, how, what or why someone worships, or what words they can use and when, or what religious symbols they can use or display, where and when..... such enforcement by the government is NOT what the First Amendment means, nor is it even a *little* close to what Jefferson (the person who coined the phrase - and only used it ONCE in ALL his writings) meant.....

The first amendment doesn't apply in Israel. That's not the issue at all.
