black square

I own a black beret. Every time I try to add it to my avatar, it makes a black square appear and cover up my character!

Hey I had this same problem when I tried to add a basketball to my living avatar. When I saved the avatar a big black rectangle showed up around the basketball and virtually covered up half of my character. That was really annoying. I'd like to know the answer too. (Sorry if I annoyed you by not helping you - I'm in the same boat as you right now)

and a third one here too. when trying to add a second character i get the black rectangle and the following error report:

Error: living_avatars/avatars/ folder needs CHMOD of 777
