Yey!!! I finally get to hear the famous show. I've wanted to do so for a long time, but I never took the time to go into the archives to listen. Stupid me.

Just wondering because he is all gung-ho to support the Purpose Driven-type Ablaze movement and was against Issues, Etc. So now that it's back despite his best efforts, I imagine he's not a happy camper.

Who cares about who is upset with the return of Issues. It is coming back. I will be listening. I hope you will listen too. It is important to listen, to think and to learn. The truth must be heard!

Interesting. So putting pressure does help.
All these petitions did appear to work.

Well, just to be clear. Issues, Etc. is no longer part of an entity controlled by the LCMS. Thus, the pressure did not affect Pres K. and others.

Thanks filo.
I was going to say that there is some misunderstanding here. Issues, Etc. is NOT back on on KFUO. Issues, Etc. is now an independent endeavor and they have a contract with a local St. Louis radio station for one hour. Both hours will be webcast and you will be able to subscribe to podcasts. The web host for the broadcasts is Pirate Christian Radio found here: http://www.piratechristianradio.com/
They have been and will continue to reaise their own financing. The LCMS, KFUO and the BCS have nothing to do with the return of Issues, Etc., proved no money or facilities of the show so, therefore, have no say in the show.
Sorry for the confusion in that people thought it was returning to it's former residence.

I think it would be easier to listen to Issues Etc. if it were free.

Subscribe to the podcast and listen to it later if you can't get it for free live.
I think that there were many people who wanted to be there when they went live today. I am sure the traffic will settle down in a few days and many will download and listen to it at times that work for them.

Apparently they were only on for an hour. I was under the impression that the second hour was to be on the Bott Network on 1320am in St. Louis, but they have another program on.
Besides, the Live 365 feed won't play on my computer. I hope they can simplify things soon so folks can listen to it.

I'm searching for a way to listen to the program but being dumb as I am, I can't figure it out. There isn't much on that site to explore so I must really be missing it.

Ideally, where would you most like to listen to Issues, Etc.? For instance yesterday I took a break from work and heard about 10 minutes of the first hour live on the internet. But in the past, I always listened to the show a day late, because I was subscribed to the show via iTunes. This will probably be the easiest way for you to listen to the show.
So go to www.apple.com (http://www.apple.com) and download iTunes. Then in the search box type in Issues, Etc. and it should take you to a page of results. Scroll down til you see Issues, Etc., not Issues, Etc. Weekday, that's the old one. Click subscribe and it should start downloading the shows. Then you can playback the show via iTunes on your computer.

I am glad, too. I already listened to one show, critiquing one of Joel Osteens' sermons. I asked my husband if I should get an insulin shot, before listening. He gives me the creeps, somehow. Just sooooo sweet.
