Dear Yochanan, you can't. If there were not anti semities attacking Judaism on this forum, you wouldn't have to be here, defending Judaism from their attacks. If Christianity did not tolerate anti semitism, then you could go about your business in peace and safety. But Christianity does tolerate anti semitism, so we need to be here. Its our job to go into the building when all else are fleeing. Keep the Torah:thumbsup:

This is simple proof that we need to quit living in HaGalus. Bnai Brak here I come! (bezrat HaShem)

kivi says: Unfortunately, you'll find the Missionaries there, too. They have a lot of money and their 'support' for Israel has given them some powerful backers. Galus is everywhere, until Moshiach Comes.

Shalom,
Yochanan Why do I have to put you on the defencive to squeeze any scripture out of you. Maybe it offends me to have to play the rogue. I do not like clever conversation. I like people to be straight forward with me. :amen:

Remember, the idea was that here you would have the freedom to respond to the rogue anti-semites without getting censored and emailed that your post was pulled for "advocating judaism" or "counter-missionary activity."
I suspect that once the new board of mods is up, it will be easier to report antisemitism and have their posts removed.

maybe I just don't want to have such a conversation with you. You insult my people, my religious beliefs, my G-d, and then you want me to give you the time of day. When people like you come over to my house, there's an expression for it "no tresspassing." If your going to be so crass and insulting (not to mention juvenile) towards my faith, people, and G-d than you can expect me to not give two sheckels for any opportunity to have a conversation with you.
the great thing about free speech, is that I'm free not to speak.
Hows that for straightforward?
Shalom,
Yochanan

Yes, yes. Yes. It can't be said enough. What comes to mind for me is, we have to keep building even if people attack -- you know, a sword in one hand...

I realise there's so much hostility you guys deal with, and this has been the case probably for most of your lives (or Jewish lives for those of you who have not been Jewish for that long) but the world is not all against you... we're not all against you.. and I just hate that sometimes you speak in absolutes about things like this. That's all.

hey, from what I've seen, elitism is not limited to one group or sect. no matter what we belong to, there is someone who feels better or above.

With wounds fresh,
we bleed,
like sores they ooze,
with tears.
With God and time,
healing comes,
like a kiss from mom
with her bandaid
Saying all better.
So once again off we go
to play with our friends
all is forgiven for those
who have pushed us
and back to the game
we were playing.
God's children must learn
to care and love one another
accept our differences,
and learn to understand each other
knowing our strengths and weaknesses
not to take advantage of it for abuse
but to gather the diverse strength and
becoming better brother's keepers.

kivi says: So, its Passover and an ex-student of mine is in town with her newly-wed husband from Toronto. He was at schul for Minchah/Maariv and learning and was walking home when a car pulled up and asked for directions. He walked over to help even though he was from out-of-town and the guy in the car shot him. The Jew was found a while later, bleeding and almost unconscience and was taken to the hosprital were he died. The Jew didn't die before he gave a discription of the car; he never got close enough to see the man's face. Even with a man-hunt and the car's description, the killer was not found until many years later, while the killer was in prision for an other crime, he bragged about killing a Jew 'for the sport'. The killer was trialed and convicted. We all have some story, some less horrific and some more. You be the judge about what we live with.

thing is, it could just have easily been a black man, or a drug user, or anyone else.... life happens. Sometimes it's horrible.... but it is life. Yes, you are a persecuted group, but I think it's (at least here) largely the minority and that the majority just dosen't know what to do with it.

well, I put it this way. I grew up in the rural south (yeah try dealing with that!). There's a reason I moved away. Maybe its time again.
You simply don't put yourself in bad situations. In real life it can save your life. In e-life it just gets to the point of saying "Whats the point?"
But no, I did not mean to imply that I didn't have a fondness for non-anti-semitic chr*stians.

sure. I think God would have us exercise common sense for sure. (I grew up rural south too babe - I feel ya though somehow I tend to be a little naive still) I guess my feeling is that it is only a bad situation if you react to it badly. (you being the ultimate judge on how you respond and all)
