Amazing Grace
Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee
Great is Thy Faithfulness

Are we distinguishing hymns from Praise and Worship, Contemporary Christian or Southern Gospel songs? Some do, some don't...
My favorite "hymnal type" hymns are:
(Jesus Keep Me) Near the Cross
Glory to His Name (Down at the Cross)
Holy, Holy, Holy
Just As I Am
It is Well With My Soul
Praise and Worship/Contemporary Christian/Southern Gospel:
Holy Ground (either one, but I especially like when the two are combined. "This is holy ground/We're standing on holy ground" then leads into "We are standing on holy ground/And I know that there are angels all around")
Sweet, Sweet, Spirit
Spirit of the Living God
Redemption Draweth Nigh
For Those Tears I Died (aka You Said You'd Come, or Come to the Water)
The King Is Coming
El Shaddai
Because He Lives
I could go on....

no - but the OP is "hymns"
I don't think Christian rock necessarily = hymns (could be wrong though)

Good one! Also "Power in the Blood," which leads me to "The Blood Will Never Lose its Power."
