Hi!
I don't know how many of you know about the fires in Northern California.
At any rate, one hit us. We have about 3 acres and part of our acreage caught on fire. It burned up to about 20 - 25 ft from our house. Between the house and the fire was our propane tank. That is what I focused on.
Anyway, the house and the propane tank was saved. We lost our horse barn and over half acre of the property. Thank God is was not worse.
In any event, we are working right now on trying to replace the barn and get some of the pine trees down. Lots of work to do.
The Staff has been told about this. I need to ask your patience and support. We need to keep CCR up and busy. I ask all of you and our Mods to stay with us and to find interesting and compelling threads. That means using your imagination and spiritual indwelling to get it done.
I know you can do it. In the meantime, I will try to log on at work and post when I can. I am relying on you all to do what is needed.
I love you all
Blessings
Please keep us in your prayers.
Ohhhh, I have a special intention for my son Kevin. Please lift him up.

Thanks Isa!
I would also ask you to step in and help keep this forum alive and well until I can be back.
You are a real trooper and are great at opening threads.
Please keep up the great work, my sister.

Thanks all of you.
I have been really worried that I wasn't here caring for the forum but all it proves is that I am a worry wart. You all are doing great. Bless you all.
The one thing I can tell you from what we have experienced is that Farmers Insurance is great. Within hours after I called them to report the lost barn, an investigator was here, checked things out and wrote us a check the very same day.
They provided the best service I can imagine.
I will try to spend some time here today. I see you all understand my absense. Everyone at CF has been awesome.
Blessings!!!

I am sorry to hear about your loss due to the wildfires. We hear about this type of tragedy all the time in the news ,but it really hits home when it happens to someone whom we know. I will certainly remember you in my prayers. Perhaps this is a reminder that all of our possessions are just temporary gifts for our use while we are inhabitants of this earth. Any or all of our possessions can be removed at any time. Remember how Job endured testing in his own life. In my own life, during the last few weeks, the Lord had given me a lesson on not being "attached to things". He has shown me that being attached to things of this world can be an impediment to spiritual growth. Again, I will remember you in my prayers.

So sorry to hear of this but thankful your house was saved.
