Where did Heaven and Hell come from?

If Jews did/do not believe in a Heaven or Hell, where did these concepts from? I know the concepts are in the NT, but how did we go thousands of years without these concepts.

And if Yeshua came to save us all, what happened to all the souls who died before Yeshua came?

And if Yeshua came to save us all, what happened to all the souls who died before Yeshua came? The word "Heaven" literally means "Place-s." The word Hell was introduced into the bible in place of the word grave or pit. Hell is part of the Pagan religion. It is not a Judaeo Christian concept or a Orthodox Jew.
