I don't personally know any amish people. So I would say Brethren.

thanks.I really don't know for sure. As far as basing it on my own experience, I would say the "church of Christ". I have only been to a few different churches of Christ but both of them had no musical instruments, not even a paino, the women all wore dresses and the men all wore suits and the pastors at the services preached against music that was anything but hymns. At one of the services, teh pastor even went so far as to say that it was sinnful to watch to TV or movies, to kiss before marriage and that dancing was wrong and even loud laughter was wrong. He said it was ok to "chuckle" quietly but not to expressivly laugh. I thought that was odd.
Anyway, that is the most conservative denomination I have experienced.
God Bless,
Frankie

I would think possibly some very conservative Jewish sect - probably one of the non-Western ones we know so little about. I just tried to do a web search to try to find a more specific listing, and when I searched for Jewish sects, most of them only discussed Wetern movements in Judaism, such as Reformed, Conservative, and Hasidic and non-Hasidic Orthodoxy. I'm sure I have read about some very conservative Jewish sects in Yemen and a couple of different parts of Africa, but these were not mentioned on the pages my search turned up.

From my own limited experiences I would say the Amish. I grew up in a little farming community in northcentral Ohio with a couple of large old-order Amish communities very close by and they were extremely conservative by today's standards. Wonderful people too, I really enjoyed their fellowship.

Besides the Amish and Mennonites, I would say the United Pentecostal Church is extrememly conservative. Women all wear dresses and have long hair. Very strict about baptism and how it is worded.
