OHHH!
I hate some of these new changes!
I can't post in the complaint section-there is NOONE there
Everytime I search for something simple (like bb code info, etc) I just end up with results pertaining to threads and the LETTERS (ABCD...etc) in the query "BB CODE", UNLESS the query includes a title of a post or something
Chat box is gone
the mood indicators in our profiles are gone
Plus, I just tried to find the info about the BB Code or vB code and couldn't find THAT. When I went on Yahoo to look for the page, the darn thing wouldn't load and it slowed my browser down!
I can't put ANY OL HTML in the templates here...it obviously has to be BBS (SOMETHING I'm having a hard time finding...)
OUR BLOGS are GONE...
I'm so frustrated....
Please someone tell me where is the FAQ for the BB code
and are things ever going to be the same again, like before the dumb server crashed?

The complaint forum (http://christianforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=883) is set up like the Ask a Chaplain section, where you can only see the threads that you yourself have posted. If you haven't posted any threads, it looks empty. But I assure you, we review that forum regularly.

The Search function searches threads and posts, not the FAQs or other non-threaded sections of the site. However, there is a section of the FAQs (http://christianforums.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_cf_features)specifically about "Reading and Posting Messages", with a question about "Are there any special codes I can use to markup my posts?" (http://christianforums.com/faq.php?faq=vb_read_and_post#faq_vb_special_codes), with a link to the VBCode (http://christianforums.com/misc.php?do=bbcode) page

Some of the custom-coded widgets from the old system will come back in time; some of them will not. I'm not sure where the mood indicator fits in that scheme. For a fairly up-to-date list of the major things the techs are working on, there is an "Upgrade Task List (http://christianforums.com/showthread.php?t=7236180)" in the Announcements (http://christianforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3)forum. You also can look in the bug tracker forum (http://christianforums.com/tracker.php?projectid=1) and see if someone else has reported this as a bug, and what the answer is.

OUR BLOGS are GONE...
Your blogs are not gone. They currently should be available to you through your subscribed threads (through your UserCP). Eventually, they will be added to the blog area as well.

One of the reasons the server crashed so much, and we went to the upgraded software, is because we had so much custom code that had been added over the years. Many of the old widgets, while fun and useful, added a LOT of "weight" to the system, and over time it collapsed. So we're starting out with a leaner, newer system, and slowly adding some customized widgets back. I know it can be really frustrating when you're used to having it a certain way. Please bear with us as our techs continue to bring us back up to speed.

Okay, Thanks. Sorry again for the whining.
