Updated Icon Corner!

I have an updated icon corner! :thumbsup: I got some wood and paint and modpodge, right? I printed icon prints, cut the wood accordingly, painted the wood, then modpodged the icons on! So I added a whole slew of icons to my icon corner. I'm quite excited about it! :D Here are the pictures!

More saints! John Chrysostom, Mary and Martha, etc.! I kinda did this thing where Jesus is creating the universe and the animals, then a drastic change under there where He is all the way in Hades! So I thought that was pretty spiffy. Then I kind of did a "life story" from Annunciation to Ascension and then Pentecost and the bottom row has different miracles and events.

w00t! I'm so excited! ^_^

BTW, how did you get such true color? Was that done on a home printer? Do you use laser or ink?

Just a regular home ink printer! ;)

And mom hasn't walked in my room yet to find an additional 48 icons to an altar she already hates..... :P

48 icons?! that's way more than I have! :clap:

Perhaps, when your mom does discover them, she will be so overwhelmed by their number that she'll give up trying to keep you away from Holy Orthodoxy. :pray:

But ya, I made 50 the past couple of days and I am giving 2 to a friend. So I think in total I have 55 icons and a Jesus and Mary diptych on the table.

I like doing crafty things and feeling accomplished, so it was a really good project for me. It's just like buying icon prints, but doing it yourself! Very fun! :D

(As an aside, I'd buy more icon prints if I had the sources. That'll just have to wait til I am 18 - I'm all for supporting iconographers and monasteries! ^_^)

I generally know about 3/4 of the saints depicted, the other 1/4 I do not know much about. But out of them all, I really only know the life of about one or two. I need to get on top of that... :)

Not all of them are equal, but some of them are so wonderful... You should try.

Impressive icon corner!! I was thinking of printing out more and framing or mounting them on wood, too. My icon ordering is going way to slowly. :) It would certainly be nicer if there were more in my corner. You did a fantastic job on yours! It's an inspiration to me.

yeah i think my parents would think i've really lost it if i started setting up icons in my room too.

I cut some thread and hot glued them in a loop on the backs of them.
