Topic: The subject of Hell is traditionally seen as a fiery place of torment lasting for eternity where the lost burn forever. However, is it possible that Hell means to be in the grave for eternity? Heaven is thought to contain everyone who ever died a Christian, and they are up there this very moment. Is it possible that everyone who is Christian is sleeping in the grave until the Second Coming?

Negative: JudgeEden - I will be trying to prove the "Grave" side of the argument

I’d like to add that when quoting snippets of Early Christian Writers that they should be cited in the most complete context available.

How does one do this?

First you look over the proposal, and if its fine then you post something like "I agree to the proposal." If something about it isn't fine, then point out/negotiate those things and the proposal will be modified. After the two sides agree on the proposal, then the moderator(s) will setup the thread in the formal debate section. The the "affirmative" side goes first, with each side alternating until the agreed upon ending round is reached.

Hope that helps,

LDG

I would sign the proposition if it were worded that the righteous, whose bodies have died, are alive.

As for the unrighteous, whose bodies have died, I do not believe they are alive.
