I'm the New Tech

Hi Everyone!

The name's Adrian, and I'm the new tech. admin who will be handling restoring the site and future development. I started on Monday, and so far have fixed a handful of issues, and have began development of some others.

I'm still getting used to the setup here (it's quite complex!) but am quickly getting up to speed. However, for that reason I don't want to give out too many details about what is being worked on because I might have to shift focus until it's ready for prime time. Luckily, the staff team has been amazing showing me the ropes and helping me out when needed.

If you have an issue, take a few minutes to look at the bug tracker, and either bump an existing issue or create a new one. The more organized things are, the quicker we can get the site back up to 100% :)

As for the larger features, I'm still being briefed on what needs to be done, but I'll make sure you all know as soon as I do when they will be ready, or when there is other news.

Quite Frankly My Dear, I don't have a clue about codes or anything else related to what you are doing but I sure am proud you have come to the rescue.

Being a pet rescuer, I do have concerns about our pets and where they have been hidden out. I have a bunch of upset petworkers hollering about not having pets to take care of. I feel your pain, when the workers had pets to take care of they were hollering because they had too many pets now they are hollering because they have no pets, just like the children in Egypt need to take another lap around the mountain.

LOL!!! Speaking for myself (& possibly other pet people on that thread), we weren't angry because we didn't have pet lists anymore. We just wanted OUR personal pets back, that's all! :P ;)

No, it seems to be a general consensus that we should start over with pets. To only recreate the pets that are requested, so we know they'll be taken care. Plus that way, the neglected pets on our lists won't be recreated. :clap:

So, no, we weren't "hollering" because we didn't have enough to do ~ we just want our own little guys back!

Hmm... that is slightly better. At least now I'm not getting epilepsy from stupidly staring at that blue/white border at the bottom of the screen. ;)
