Was this a sign?

I was preparing an important post in defence of our Lady this morning.

I have a statue of her that was thrown around and remarkably pulled from the trash unmarked that I often look at.

I prayed to our Lady to ask her if I should post this message as it troubled me.

I heard that still small voice say after a long pause, yes.

I then asked, are you sure, and again yes.

Still doubting my post would do more harm than good I asked if our Lady really wanted me to make this post to give me a sign and went back to edit and review this post in preparation some more before I actually posted it.

Just then a real live dove landed on the window sill and began to coo. It stayed there for nearly 10 minutes looking in and cooing.

I made the post! :)

What a beautiful testimony to a sign given! I bet the cooing was like music to your ears, and a kiss on the cheek from our Blessed Mother.:kiss: I know we are not suppose to look for signs, but I personally believe we are given them daily as powerful confirmations that our Lord, the Holy Spirit and our Blessed Mother are walking with us in our daily lives. Now you can savor the day with our Heavenly Mothers Love. Peace to you Joab. :hug:

I find it especially astounding it was a peaceful Dove ;).

Look at my avatar - this beautiful white dove came to me at a very hard time in my life and I was seeking direction - it stayed with me for about 2 weeks - the day after I prayed I got up and opened the door - the dove tried to land on my head - it snowed in TExas which is rare, but it curled up in the palm leaves and I could feed it from my hand - but as soon as we made the decision that was in question and I was at peace - it moved on. It is very precious to me.

Its always neat to have things like that occur. :)

It reminds me when I was younger, in my teens, some friends and I formed a brotherhood of sorts. We had a little sunrise ceremony on Easter monring. We went to a place in the country that I knew of on a hill top over looking a country valley. We each took time to pray and then we made a statement of brotherhood and took communion. Just as we were taking communion a flock of geese flew over head, very low, probably not more than 30 feet above us. We heard them honking as they approached in the distance but just before they passed over they went completely silent, and when they passed over all we could hear was a distinct rushing sound of the wind under their wings.

I remember it made my skin tingle.

That is interesting, For me I would say it was, unless a Dove landed on my window every morning? I am never sure if what I see is a sign, or can say God spoke to me like some claim. They never go into detail what is was like & maybe I just lack faith & don't listen. Yet I would say I feel sometimes I have been given a what are you thinking whether its my conscious or the Holy Spirit. I do feel my conscious should be guided the Holy Spirit.

The Lord can speak to us in many ways. We just have to be open minded enough to recognize His voice. There is nothing that is impossible for the Lord.
