I’m wondering if anyone here think it possible that they have been deceived in relation to their understanding in scripture.
Question:
Do you think your current understanding of scripture is completely correct?
Yes, or no?
Question:
Do you think that no one has deceived you, or is able to in relation to your current views, and understanding?
Yes, or no?
I am wondering about these things for one reason
Jesus said, “But do not be called Rabbi; for ONE IS YOUR TEACHER, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for ONE IS YOUR FATHER, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for ONE IS YOUR LEADER, that is, Christ.” (matt 23:8-10)
Jesus clearly states that you should have only One Teacher, and He does not make it hard to figure out Who that One Teacher is.
And although I know many of you may not be Catholic, but even so they call their “spiritual leaders” by the name of “father” …which they should not. And even “leader” is reiterating the first statement in His saying here, and kind of takes the legs out from people who what to say they are Christian and call others there leader.
I just notice that many have different views, and I know the stability of scripture…. It’s the same and not off the wall, nor does it vary but is clear in all things, and yet the many see things differently, and yet we should be “of ONE MIND”, in “UNITY”, with the “SAME HEAD” …and we should be this, and not in a unity under the void of deception, but according to Truth, and The Life.
Question:
Do you see commentaries, and denominational church doctrines as good help when it comes to your scriptural understanding?
Yes, or no?
Question:
Do you think that you are immune to deception, and that nothing has chance at influencing you?
Yes, or no?
It is clear that we should not be deceived if we learn from One Teacher. The only Teacher that has not just been seated at the Right Hand of the Father, but is also The Living Word.
Jesus said,
"You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am.”(John 13:13)
also,
"If you continue in My WORD, then you are truly disciples of Mine”(John 8:31)
I know the word “disciple” has been over glorified in its understanding, but the meaning “student” would be more close to the correct way of looking at that word.
Anyways, If you continue in His Words, you WILL become His student. And you can take that as a promise.
Question:
Do you think that you are lead by the Spirit? And because of that, you are incapable of being lead by your own selfish, or self-gratifying desires?
Yes, or no?
Question:
Do you think that your vain thoughts have no way of contaminating what you think to be, as being “lead by the Spirit?”
Yes, or no?
I ask this because if someone claims they are “lead by the Spirit” and they use the Word as their guide to govern what is of Spirit, or of flesh, are you not being guided by the Word? ….if you say yes, you are correct, Jesus said,
“THE WORDS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU ARE SPIRIT, and are life.”(John 6:63)
Please answer these questions, I want to know what your answers are.
