Is this a bug? Or can we only give people a maximum of 40 reps from our reputation power now?

wondering the same thing! why is there a drop down menu with 1-40 pts on it...what about our REP POWER? If we give 1 pt do we have 40 reps to give and if we give 40 pts do we have only 1 rep to give? i am so confused

Actually this is easy to reset to giving folks your rep power number of points. It just needs to be done. I have made Lee aware of it today

Yep the setting needs adjusting.

It is only adding 40 points to everyone's reputation. :(

Well, I'm not going to rep until it's fixed. It's only adding the 40 points.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed?

Nope it hasn't. I think they're keeping it this way.

The number you select in the drop-down will be the # of rep points you actually give the person, NOT the # of times you "rep" them with YOUR rep power.
e.g. if Moriah gave you one rep it should add 10,304 (or whatever) to your total rep count -- instead it adds just one point.
If moriah gave you 40 reps it SHOULD add 10,304 x 40 or 412,160 to your rep count -- instead it adds just 40 points.

Yeah, Moriah, I'm with you. I only have 10k plus but I want to rep at that level. :( I don't think it's fair...hugs to you btw.

They got if fixed sorta.
Right now the drop down box gives a list between 0 & your Rep Power, so for me that's 186598 options :D
Though this makes the download for the Rep Box about 7Meg.

I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread so I suppose I'll just post this here and hope that it gets seen by somebody who can do something about it.
The rep feature is not working at all with Safari web browser.

I am working with GEO. He is setting the daily max to 1000000 and is looking for how to return it to before. He is checking for other plugins.
The goal is 40 reps per day at one's rep power and no pass around restriction.
Given him time to see what he can do.

RD, do you know if the reps will be unlimited as to repping someone multiple times or will that be in the very near future?

Here's a link to the official vBulletin manual page which describes how to set the parameters of the reputation system.
http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...ons_reputation (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/main/vboptions_reputation)
These settings can be found in the Admin CP under vBulletin Options > User Reputation Options

It takes the page forever to load when you rep someone and I keep getting you must spread reputation around before you can give again to this person, I shouldn't be getting this, I'm a SS.

Just talked with geocajun and he was able to remove the problematic part of the code and set the software to 40 reps per day at your rep power.
Thanks you Geocajun!

I was only able to give about 27 reps today and I hadn't repped yesterday. What's with that?
