Registered Users Name, Password, Etc. Gone?

I noticed an old user register again, therefore, I asked him by PM why he registered the 2nd time with a very similar username and received the following reply by PM:


No, I have never used any other user name since I have been on CF. The problem came after the upgrade on the software. When I tried to log back on, it didn't open up for me on the home page. Instead it showed me a page requiring that I register again. I tried to use my password and it wouldn't work. So I went ahead and registered. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

Could this mean that there are now a great number of CF members who can no longer log on?

Also, as he asked in the PM, is there anything we can do to fix this?

When the system requires you to register, you ALSO have a link to retrieve your lost password... usually this is one problem... people think they remember their password but never ask to have them retrieved if they fail login-in...
