May God's blessings continue to be on those to whom He has given the gift of motherhood. And may His grace be with those who desire motherhood but who are not yet or are unable to through no fault of their own. Grace, mercy, and peace be to you all.

I got my mom a rose with baby herth or something like that, and then got her a strawbery torte. And we just got done with a couple games of euchre. I'll bet that no one out of michigan has ever heard of that game before.

Happy Mother's day everyone!
I didn't get to see Mom today...another Bronchial infection has descended. *sigh* but I got to talk with her (sorta...I'm pretty soft 'n squeeky right now. She did most of the talking.)
Euchre? Oh honey...there's better games than that! LOL As for no one knowing it outside of Michigan, I'm in SW Ohio and was in the All Ohio State Fair Band...for 3 weeks we did almost nothing on our free time than play euchre. I was so sick of that game after 2 summers of AOSFB that I swore I'd never play again. *G*
Sounds like y'all are having fun though!

Happy Mothers Day to all you moms!!! (and moms to be!)

I had to buy today 6 sets of flowers for the mothers I know.
I also learned an interesting lesson just now.
Being a mother is a spiritual calling that is not associated with giving birth.
When my mother died when I was 13, my sister who was 9 years older than me and single, automatically felt a calling to take over ... despite of my objections. :)
Also, many foster mothers are clearly better mothers than the ones who gave birth and abandoned them.
And many that abort (not all), do not appear to have that calling.
So, to all you mothers - Happy Mothers' Day. :)
Ed :)

I miss playing euchre. Used to play it a LOT in my youth. No one to play it with anymore.

I played euchre once! We went out to some fancy banquet hall for a buffet brunch with the in-laws and then went to my mom's house to visit afterward.

We went up to my mom's place for mother's day. I got to spend a few hours with my mom, sister, and brother for mothers day. It was nice!
