Amount must be between 100 and 1,000 Blessings, and may be moderated. Minimum payments of 10.0% need to be paid back every 30 days to avoid late fees. Interest on outstanding balances is 19.5%. You may set up automatic payment plans. Your credibility rating may impact your interest rates or spending abilities.

I see that blessings are now not only being banked, but being loaned at interest.

The changes have been gradual, but now that they have become a medium of exchange to be bartered for goods and borrowed and lent at interest, I think any resemblance to the title "blessing" has disappeared, and the name of CF's virtual currency should be changed.

I had over 120,000 in the bank, and after the upgrade, only 20. Not sure what happened there...

Likewise agreed.

I guess that a button marked "Bless Filthy Lucre" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

I completely agree.

A blessing is something that is freely given and freely received.

It hinges on blasphemy to call the borrowing of CF's currency, a blessing. One does not borrow a blessing. Blessings come from God, and are given freely, not taken out on loan.

I'm certain that this mistake has not been intentional, because I do not believe that Admins and Execs would intentionally smear what God has given, in this manner. It's an honest mistake, I'm sure of it. So let's not be too hard on staff here. We have a small group of well meaning individuals running the forums and the rest are servants of the Lord, as they perform various tasks. It's not an easy job, to manage these forums, and thus, mistakes are going to be made on the basis of distraction imho.

Its a default setting of the module....we will be getting it fixed, as us advisors find it very problematic and counter to scripture as well. Right now though, we are just trying to get the site back up, but it will be fixed.

I'm glad to know this wasn't intentional. Unintentional issues need to be brought to the attention of TPTB so they can be taken care of. I appreciate knowing it's been noticed & will be changed.

Thank you.

Agreed. I had posted a complaint about this as soon as the site was up and running again. Having interest on blessings? Blessing someone isn't having to OWE someone your gifts.

It still isn't fixed. It's back to where the only thing I can do with blessings is borrow them I guess if I borrowed enough & didn't make my payments, the interest would eventually eat them all up.

Since they're not good for anything, why not just get rid of them?

you should be able to give others blessings. Go up to upper right hand corner and click the word purchase. It will bring you to a screen where your second choice is DONATE. Type in the username, a comment and the amt of blessings you want to give the other person and click send.

(dont use any commas when sending blessings. type 1000 NOT 1,000)

Thank you. I was clicking the one that said "Check." Isn't that where the Donate function used to be?
