Richard, thank you for checking into banking matters. I do not like the idea of paying 2% to transfer blessings from "checking" to "savings"; and the 3.5% interest/month gives less of a return than the 1% interest/week than we were previously allowed. :( While you're looking into banking things, can you find out if the interest will be paid automatically, or will we still have to go to collect it?

The big question I have is what will happen to any blessings over 10,000 that I already have in "savings"? Will I have to move them to "checking" to keep from losing them?

Also, will we be able to bless others with armory items and/or blessings?

For now they do until you upload your backgrounds to your albums in your profile...then you can customize to your hearts content

there is no HTML editing however, so no videos or sound files can be uploaded...

on teh upside, ti makes more for more secure and stable servers...

Wow, this looked like a lot of work! I'm so happy it is back online. CF is definitely my favorite forum online now (and not even a year since I've joined before it entered my top spot...lol).

I read through the entire thread and nearly all my questions were answered. I did have a few comments/questions:

- Will we be able to know a person's gender in a post (without having to view their profile)? It really helped out when interacting on the boards when I knew the gender of the person I was interacting with.

- About restocking our armory, what about those who are not able to log in as often or even at all during this month? Do they just lose all the armory items they diligently purchased and accumulated?

- I liked the faith icon on display for the same reason I stated about the gender icon.

- How can I get to the Newspaper section (before I had a little link on the top of my page for writers)?

- I never knew that you could save a custom forums list for your favorite forums here before!!! I wish I had known that before, it would have been so useful. Oh well.

So glad that this forum exists and I am ready to readjust to the new layout.

The armory team will insure that members are able to get items while the sale is going on. If you are having trouble getting an item, contact Ravenscape or Libertychic (sp?).

But as far as finding out your rep POWER.

In the USER CP, we are able to find out our rep POINTS (not POWER) next to the section Latest Reputation Received. But there used to be a Latest Reputation Given section too where the rep POWER was listed. And that section is not listed in my USER CP even though it always used to be there.

I would like to petition the 2% and 5% taken for putting blessings in, taking blessings out, and giving blessings away.

It is wrong. I treat CF bank as I do my own personal bank. I don't believe we should have to borrow our own blessings and we shouldn't be charged for giving blessings to another member. In addition, we shouldn't be charged for depositing blessings.

I'm not a happy camper about it and want to know how I go about confronting and changing the current banking system.

All who do stand in agreement with me please pm me and maybe together we can make necessary changes.

I do appreciate all the work and effort put into making CF a better place for us. An I do thank those who worked so hard to put this software into place. But I can't abide by worldly attributes in the banking area.

Ok...apparently everyone's getting confused/upset about the blessings issue....I'm not doing anything to my blessings til the dust settles down. I for one don't like the banking feature...and apparently, it's too confusing and I really don't have a head for numbers. I rather see that blessings are collected/donated in the simplest form. As for "rendering unto Caesar" with blessings...you cannot 'serve two Masters' by doing so. It has to be one way or the other.

For all the bells and whistles...it's fun...but keep in mind, this forum is HUGE, and IMO, let's keep it simple and more user friendly. It appears that a majority of posters here in this thread would rather keep the old way of keeping blogs, blessings, reps...it was so much more simpler. Would it be workable with the new formatted site as this?

And for me, it will take some time to become acclimated with the newness of all, the difference in setup and color...It is funny what we get use to...

You have to click on "purchase item"near the top of the page and under your points count. The folders with all of the different character stuff should show up and you can browse through the stuff that way.

Lots of things are gone right now, including the Thank button, Blessings, and (I've heard) the Bank. I'm sure the techs are working on some problem that caused a few things to be disabled temporarily.
